Free NBA preview if anyonw wants to see Joker going off against Memphis now.
HTF am I subject to blackout restrictions for this game in Southwest Missouri?  The game is in Denver and I live 5 hours from Memphis and it is not on any local channels.

I was able to watch League Pass earlier tonight but it stopped working while we were eating dinner.  I don't know if it has to do with the Warriors game starting but I'd much rather have watched MEM-DEN instead of GSW stinking it up.

Well, I have Luka and Ant. Exciting offensively, to be sure. But Luka is a minus on defense, and Ant is a positive when he really tries and a negative th erest of the time. So i need some defense. And the best defense is rim protection, obvs.

But I also want someone to be able to run the floor with these guys and dunk on people's heads. Well there are about 3 guys left who can do that. Buf what if I told you there was an elite rim protector who can run the floor but can also can also help stretch the floor and keep good spacing so Luka and Ant can drive the lane? Unfair, you're undoubtedly saying right now. And yet, I pick

3.06 - C Myles Turner, IND

DPOY candidate, Blocks per game leader in 2019, 2021, and the leaer this yar (2.8) by a substantial margin. And he can shoot the 3 just well enough to not clog things up.

Contrary to what the Pacers think, he should be crazy easy to build a good modern team around. He would have been on my short list if I wasn't already starting two centers.

I must not know NOTHING about this stupid league because I think "Maybe I should reach for ______ with my next pick" 4-5 times and those guys go 5-15 picks before it gets to me.

Gonna start ignoring the draft until it is my turn, like that other guy who hates to have fun.

Yeah, I have 20 picks in between each of my picks, so it’s unlikely players I’m interested in will fall to my next pick. I don’t mind reaching for someone 5-15 picks ahead of where they “should” go because they won’t be around when I’m up again.

So far you seem to be reaching way farther than that.

So I help run our local youth basketball league (500+ Players). I’ll be coaching a couple games in the morning and being mask police the rest of the day (I got to kick a parent out of the league tonight).

I’ll do my best to check in when I can in the morning, so hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.

Im a bit fried right now from arguing with people about masks all evening so not sure I can make a list tonight.

Actually I made a four person list while having a well deserved drink. Anyone who already picked this round want to take a list so I don’t bog things down tomorrow?

   I have to coach my fifteen/sixteen year old basketball team tomorrow.  Before Covid, we won the championship.  Now, it's the lowlight of my week.  EVERYONE is totally uncoachable.  They just want to play Tatum ball and fire step back three's all game.  I'm thinking it's hormones, but it sucks the life out of me.

   We also have futsal, which is the opposite luckily.

Myles Turner was going to be my pick in the second round if Middleton hadn't been there. He's a perfect fit as a center in the modern game and would have been a great match with Curry. I think the Pacers are crazy to consider trading him, half the league should be trying to get him.

I was very close to picking Turner at pick 27.  Skill wise he is so right for the current game and I agree that he has really been held back from his full impact by the way that the pacers use Him.

47. OG annunoby

@Eephus
I was targeting mikal bridges here and was sad to see him go.  I think OG may be better against somE of the best bigger wing creators, though I think bridges is just a little more versatile and his frame lets him be a little quicker.  Still OG is probably better on the ball and is a nice consolation prize

Is it workable to play Sabonis and Turner together?  To me it's understandable why the Pacers would want to move one of them.

It’s workable but it really caps their ceiling, IMO.  Turner is easier to fit around and is actually a pretty good fit for sabonis since he can help with sabonis’s defensive shortcomings and not get in his way on offense.  Still m, if sabonis were not there, they could build a better more versatile defense and let Turner have more freedom to really cause the opponents defense more problems.  Having a mobile shooting center is really nice for getting more spacing and cleaner looks around the rim, but then you’ve got sabonis standing there nullifying some of that advantage

Thanks. I will pair Trae with Bradley Beal. Having a dude with range that is pretty much a lock to score 20-25 a night will make life far easier for him.

@Frostillicus

Bradley Beal is my pick

Great pick.  You basically got a lead dog that can carry a team to .500 without burning a top 5 pick on him.

Bolivar won by 8.  Parkview tried to pound the air out of the ball, but just couldn't hit any 3's.

High schools are now allowed to institute a shot clock but it's up to the state.  Missouri is scared of change, but it needs to happen.  A half of basketball with only 15-20 possessions each is just boring for everyone.  The players don't like it and the fans don't like it.

How many calls did you blow?

I think he already answered your question.

3.08 - Mike Conley (#11)

Conley is used to playing with a high usage SG in Utah so he should be able to coexist in a backcourt with Harden.  Conley can initiate the offense but is also an excellent spot up shoot who can space the floor when the Beard is cooking.  I'll have to watch Conley's regular season minutes to keep him fresh for the playoffs but that's a manageable price to pay for the best PG left on the board.

@dawgtrails

I am out doing just about the stupidest thing in the world. Ice fishing in 5 degree weather. So dumb. I am in my 3rd beer already though.

Was going to pick Conley.

Give me John Collins, PF, ATL

Not sure who is up next.
