Time for everyone to take this year off. This draft is ALREADY an A.

Cannot believe we got AJ Brown, just am still stunned.

Eagles have four picks remaining:

2nd round (No. 51)
3rd round (No. 83)
5th round (No. 154)
7th round (No. 237)

I'd expect trade-backs (or player trades) to add more picks.
Who can we deal for a 4? I really want a couple DB’s with 51 and 83 and don’t want to trade back unless we get a big haul back.

Wow, good info there.

Brian Baldinger:

"I just watched him, the first Alabama game, the SEC Championship game and he was invisible.  The most plays he played in a row in the game were five in the first quarter....by the time you got to the fourth quarter he was barely on the field.  Now they said he got heavy and he was a little bit out of shape.  And by the time you got to the championship game where he was really a much better player, he lost weight and got himself into shape....if he's 340 you probably got yourself a guy worthy of the 15th pick of the draft.  If he's 360, in Week 17 he's not going to have much of an impact...If you're playing the Buffalo Bills or you're playing Tampa Bay and you've got those guys throwing the ball all over the field, does it make any sense to have Jordan Davis on the field?  Georgia just said it doesn't because they took him off the field in those situations when they're going against a quarterback who have just thrown it."

With the way they're putting this team together I'd be shocked if they dealt either of them now, especially Sanders unless he's getting us a 2 today.

Last year of his contract and this draft has a few good RBs plus a few guys in FA. Depending on how contract talks went it wouldn't surprise me honestly. Eagles aren't about paying RBs a high salary anymore. I'm not saying it's definite but if he's not traded during the draft I can see him traded by the deadline unless they feel a team friendly deal can be had.

Jay Glazer and LaVar Arrington Reveal Their Steal of The Draft

Excerpt:

LaVar Arrington: "Hands down the scariest football player I've ever seen. Being 6'6 and able to move with 360lbs is scary. What I'm trying to tell you is, if you saw him in the wild and he was a grizzly bear - you're not gonna make it. He'll catch a lion, a tiger and a leopard. You don't want to go into the Serengeti with Jordan Davis."

Jay Glazer"We've never seen anything like this in the combine. If the Eagles can teach him how to pass rush and be a chaotic 3rd down player, this will be the steal of the draft."

LaVar Arrington and Jay Glazer both share a common opinion about Jordan Davis being an animal on the field with untouchable attributes.

The issues about the weight are fair.  I don't think it's good to limit your breakdown of a guy to one game either and Baldy is wrong a LOT about players and breakdowns

The last year of his deal is what will make it tricky to deal him I'd think.  I cant see a team outside of like the Texans giving him a solid extension and parting with quality picks.

A.J. Brown told @turrondavenport that the Titans' offer topped out at $16 million per season with incentives that would have driven the deal up to a $20 million average. At 24 years old, Brown was entering the final year of his rookie contract that would have paid him around $4 million in 2022. The Eagles gave Brown a 4-year, $100 million extension that includes $57 million guaranteed. "This wasn't my fault," Brown told ESPN. "I wanted to stay, but the deal they offered was a low offer. The deal they offered wasn't even $20 million a year."

There's times Baldy is spot on but it's few and far between.

I have always loved Baldinger but I think he's smoking crack about Davis.

Davis doesn't have to be an every down guy. We've always rotated. Sure Davis might not be in on our Nascar package.

But at the end of the day I think we would love similar production to what Warren Sapp accomplished.

yeah really dont care about his opinion

Brown is elite over the middle of the and Jalen Hurts is one of the more middle of the field averse QBs in the NFL, and when he does throw over the middle it is bad. His completion % on passes of 15+ yards over the middle was 22% below league average.

seems like we are not going to be able to get booth or the Washington CB.   prob would have to move up.

How much would it cost?

Another point. Can you image what a 3-4 front looks like with Davis in the middle with Cox and Graham on the edges?

Now image what our LB's will look like in that front.

Honeybadger is must sign IMO.

To many people are hung up on these things. I blame the media but they say Eagles fans are smart but over the last few yrs I'd love to debate that. Yes we all like guys who work hard and such but I swear some people really talk out of their asses on multiple topics. Again I blame the media landscape in Philly for this more then anything else. I also blame the fact of information building in a sense anyone can find anything online that defends their opinion and they go around like that's cold hard facts.

It's obvious who knows about teams or players then those who just watch highlights and regurgitate what they hear. The Davis being rotated out reminds me of a debate I had with someone last year about Kadarius Toney's production in college. Both were rotated a lot do to other talent they wanted to get involved on the field as well which means less chances for them. Its like when the Eagles had a 3 headed monster at RB. None of the guys had better numbers than they should have do to less chances. But all were good in the roles they played. Sometimes it comes down to your teams off/def scheme that dictates certain things. Also when you have multiple talents at a particular position you want to get them all out there and get some chances. It also keeps guys fresh for later on.

He was down to PHI and BAL and I think Ravens taking Hamilton makes us the favorite

In addition to those 2 you still have Dean and Christian Harris there at LBer,  Ojabo, Mate and maybe Bonito at DE, Raimann at OT is an interesting one as well if we move Dillard.

QB's are all there as well.  Minshew is gone after this year probably and we have nothing behind him.

the auburn CB is pretty good as well

Him and Gordon are kind of cut from the same cloth as players.  More physical and not really fast guys.  I think the only real player at CB in round 2 is Booth for us unless they have another much higher.  If they do a guy like Taylor-Britt or Alontae Taylor could be targets or maybe one the Alabama CB's in round 3

I think it's a strange argument that you shouldn't take a guy that can help you through a 17 game regular season because he may not be helpful if you play a handful of specific teams.  If they play SF or Tennessee Davis becomes extremely valuable.

I'm torn on Ojabo. If he gets back to where he was physically that would be a steal but Achilles injuries terrify me.

Yeah I agree and I really don’t want to do another Sidney Jones situation. If he slides to the 3rd I’d be open to it but I think someone snags him before our pick at 51.

I follow Michigan out of habit since my cousin played for them back in the day, so I've seen Ojabo play a lot. If he can return to form, you stole a top 12 pick in the mid second round. He played as well as Hutchinson did in spurts last year.

I hate it.  Bunch of better players in positions of need on the board
DB’s all gone.

Dean or Harris could still be there.

Kelce is 34, dinged up a bunch and you’re not moving Seamulo or Dickerson inside. Also add  in Stoutland and it makes me feel like the Dickerson pick last year. If he’s needed, this could be a great pick.

I mean we're sending Kelce out there with duct tape at this point.  I'm fine with getting the guy to replace him there, especially since he'll have a year to learn from Kelce and our OL coach.

Would have rathered trade up for Booth or one of the CB's...  but if we're staying this is fine.
