2023 College football thread - Nick Saban is sad and mid because everyone can pay players now. (2 Viewers)

Joe beninati , who announces the wash Caps hockey games , is absolutely crushing it on the VT/Rutgers game. The game sucks in a major way. But he’s really good. Needs to be picked up by a national broadcast.

Alabama looks like a shell of itself. Milroe is their best chance, really. Feels like he just needs to work through his issues, but Bama feels like a 15-25th ranked team at best this year.

#5 from Tennessee is going to be running wind sprints at practice this week after failing to bump Etienne down in the open field

Dominant performance by the Tide! Never a doubt!

This is legit probably a 4 or 5 loss team unfortunately. I think Saban answered the fans by saying "You want the backups? Here you go." Honestly the OL may be more of a problem than the QB.

that backwards pass by CSU featured maybe the slowest developing pivot, windup and throw from a QB i have ever seen
he followed that up by throwing a ball over the middle, nearly from his back, while being swallowed whole by a defender

then he telegraphed a throw in the seam that Deion's kid took back for 6

maybe run the ball or bench this guy before he throws 4 more picks

TOTAL BUSH LEAGUE on Colorado State
Tried to injure Hunter, the ball already hits the ground and the Safety decides to try and take him out anyways
That #11 should be tossed from the program
That has no business in football

There is a going to be a brawl if things continue like this.
They already had to be separated pre-game warm ups
Every play there seems to be some late hitting after
Not gonna end well for one of these teams.

The Coach Prime schtick was fun at first but, IMO, has gotten annoying. Would love to see Colorado State win tonight and the slobbering over Colorado die down a bit.
I disagree 100%. This is the first time in years I have paid any attention to any games other than "my" teams and the playoff games. I'm invested. I think this is just what CFB needed tbh.

11 penalties called against CSU so far (128 yards). 5 against Colorado (45 yards). Nice to see the referees calling it right down the middle.
is there a particular penalty you disagree with?
No, but every time I look up they are calling a penalty (usually on CSU). They may all be valid, but I prefer games where referees aren’t such active parts of the storyline.

They are committing the penalties though

Ok, chief. These two teams COMBINED were averaging 11.5 penalties a game coming into tonight. Nothing to see here with 16 in a half. Carry on.
