The Bills were clearly the superior team in all aspects of the game. Talent level, coaching, game plan, everything.
The season isn't lost. I still think the Bills are one of the best in the league (though some were piling dirt on them after their first week loss). There are some 'reasons' that the offense looks unable to do much.
1. Jimmy G missed most of all off season.
2. Josh Jacobs missed most of all season.
That are two huge parts of the offense that just were not there. JJ looks like he hasn't been playing football for a while for sure. I would think that he will shake off the rust and get into form soon. The timing with the offense and Jimmy G will take some time. However, I still can not figure out what the issue with Renfrow is. It really does boggle my mind. He is clearly a great WR and you don't have Meyer, how is he not more of the offense?
Similar to Jimmy G and JJ, Wilson missed most of all off season and hasn't done much period in recovery. His selection was about his potential and not his polished readiness. He shouldn't be starting right now because I don't think he is physically up to par and he has had almost no time to get coached up on technique. Jones having whatever issues he has is just bad for us. I mean, the guy was signed to a huge contract and then comes in and plays like poo last year. Supposedly was physically good to go now and then has this mental health crisis.
The good news is that we are still first in the division (I have no idea how the tie breaker works for our favor but we are) and among the NFL, if there is an offense for our defense to get right against the Steelers has to be on the short list (then again, their defense may pile drive our offense 6 feet under).
