2023 Las Vegas Raiders - RIP Jack - one of the greatest Super Bowl moments ever (4 Viewers)

Still unsure if I will go to the game. Have not bought tickets.

I have been sick for the last couple of weeks and feel like crap. I think I might just see if there are any real cheap last minute tickets and how I am feeling then decide to go or not.

Feel better, Chad. Skip this sorry *** game between a rookie QB and a never has been QB if you need to. By all means, your well being is worth tons more.
Checked the prices and seeing $100 for nosebleed seats which is more than I will want to spend for a crap seat. I am sure prices will drop much more a little later today but I would need to head to the city to anticipate that and I don't have the energy for that right now. Plus my daughter has a basketball game today. It should be a good game too as it is from one of the few teams that have beat them this season. It looks like I will be watching this epic QB battle from home.

"When you’re a player like me, mentally, my benchmark is not wins and losses. It’s greatness.

“So when I go out there, I expect to be able to have that ability to put that on tape and have an influence on the game. That’s my purpose for being here. I’m not here just to hang out. I came here to win and to do it the right way. So if it don’t look like it’s supposed to look, then I’m going to be frustrated if I’m not part of the plan.”

That's surprising and super disappointing from Adams. "It's nice if we win but if we win and I get shut out I'll cry about it". I haven't ever seen any selfishness from him like this before. It's not the most disruptive/diva thing a WR has ever said by a long shot, but it's a first from him I think?

I was thinking about his comments and at first I was disappointed. Thinking about it further I think he sees that they were fortunate to win the games they have with the offense playing as poorly as it has. The offense probably would look much better if the QBs threw him the ball when they were supposed to, like any time he has a matchup where he is singled up. They have not been doing that. He also said something to the effect that if Myers was going off and the offense looked like it was working great he'd be cool with it. What he said comes off as selfish, but I think if it was worded a little differently nobody would have made anything of it.

Media trying to stir **** with Adams. Read and/or listen to his words carefully. He is saying the offense sucks and that is a problem for him regardless of win or loss. And he is right.
I want this to be the case, he's been taken out of context a lot already, but this one's much tougher to diagnose:

I'm a perfectionist, and I've shot plenty of rounds of golf in the 70's but been disappointed at how I did it - "man, my ball striking was bad all day, good thing my putting salvaged the round" - so maybe this is his perspective. He'll take the ugly ones, but strives for doing it "better"? Again, we've never seen this kind of diva attitude from him so I want to believe that's not what it is but that quote's a toughie.

Hes never been a prima donna type WR ,so im thinking hes talking out of frustration ,as we all feel the same way. The Visor should have this offense scoring 30 points per game with the talent the Raiders have. I wouldnt read anything into his words at this point.

How is it that Brian Freaking Hoyer can target Adams 6X in one quarter and Jimmy can’t figure it out in 2 games? This team just doesn’t do anything that makes sense, no matter who’s coaching, QBing or in charge. Just mind boggling.

Epps been watching Peters make tackles.

carlson hasn’t been right all year.
What is it with Epps today? He wanted nothing to do with the Chicago RB at the goal line. He literally let him score untouched and just jogged away like it was no big deal. No wonder the Eagles let him walk.

Bring in AOC after halftime please! For the love of God McDaniels do something to get some life in your pathetic offense!

Your 2023 Raiders my friends… They can’t stop an undrafted free agent QB in his first start. And can’t tackle a backup RB. Way to build a winner Mork!

The wheels on this team have been wobbly all season, i predict they completely fall off after this game , crap is gonna hit the fan

This game has the embarrassment level of the Nic Mullens 49ers game a few years ago during the Gruden rebuild. Whenever you have to start an unproven rookie QB, the Raiders have earned the reputation to be that team you start them against.

hoyer needed to be benched at halftime.

mcD waits too long to make these important decisions and it costs the team

I knew there was a chance of things going bad with hoyer starting, but didn't think it would be this bad.

team needs to be all in with aoc for rest of the season. it's pointless not to

Bringing a defense to Chicago would have been nice too…

Have you forgotten about Coach Saturday’s Maiden win or Baker Mayfield beating us after joining the Rams 2 days earlier. At least we were blowing double digit leads last year… now barely making it to double digits

My mistake. Yes I remember those.

So glad I was away at college family weekend so I didn’t have to watch this disgrace. Please give me amnesia so I can forget I root for this hot mess.

Anyone else just want to support a team and an organization you know is going to give us a solid effort week in, week out? I don’t even care about the Super Bowl, I just want a competitive organization. Why is this so hard to accomplish for the Raiders?

There has been some good defensive play from some other players. Mostly low key though. Spillane, Moehrig, Peters, Robertson are a few examples of guys playing above average. The big difference though is we don't have anyone that is consistently being a playmaker outside of Maxx. We are not getting anyone to consistently play above average on the D line as well right now to assist Maxx. If we do, man, that can turn this decent defense (best we have seen from the Raiders in a couple of decades as sad as that is) to a really good defense. I would be willing to take a swing on Frank Clark once available. At this point, what do we have to lose? If he has something left and is somewhat as he has been in the past, 30 years old isn't too old and maybe with what appears to be a sour ending with the Donkeys and one with the Chefs, he would be extra incentivized to join the Raiders and get back at those orgs. A guy can dream, no?

There are several edge players supposedly on the trade block right now...

Danielle Hunter
Brian Burns
Frank Clark
Carl Lawson
Chase Young

And it's rumored the Raiders have been exploring potential deals for an edge rusher, so hopefully they will get something done soon for a guy that comes in and contributes.
Chase Young would be phenomenal. He is effective as is right now getting pressures but I don't think he is fully to his potential still getting back to 100% after the previous injuries. Tons of upside with him and ability now. Rotate him with Wilson (expectation here being Wilson gets better as health and development continue) and you can even get all three on the line in obvious passing downs with kicking Wilson inside. Assuming we did not over pay, this would get my blood flowing for sure.
Young was a beast his rookie season. If they can “buy low” on him now and he can return to anything close to his pre injury level, that could be huge.
Just maybe they can learn something from Chandler Jones, invest in a player with upside, not past their prime.

To answer your questions in two words: Mark Davis

Remember, there was a reason Al kept him away from the decision- making process.

To add, the Raiders are now 0-3 facing rookie QBs since 2020. 😂

It needs to…
I don’t disagree, but how is it going to help improve the team if the wheels fall off? The same incompetent owner will still hold all the power. At best, he will go out and over-pay for some name-brand retread coach. And they will still screw up their draft picks. Being a Raider fan is the equivalent to being Sisyphus among the Greek gods.
