I’m not so sure. White hasn’t done anything special. I thought McCormick had a pretty good preseason too, enough to make the roster? Doubtful, but I can see him landing on the practice squad.Damien Williams is a better RB than every Raider not named Josh Jacobs. It's sad he will be looking for a new team in four days.
Maaaan they better not keep four RB!I’m not so sure. White hasn’t done anything special. I thought McCormick had a pretty good preseason too, enough to make the roster? Back to Williams, if they keep 5 RBs I’d be Ok with JJ, Jakob, Abdullah, Williams and Bolden.
Yeah I glossed over the post-June 1 thing, sorry I'm getting rusty. I think that given that there's nothing to save I'd rather keep him to see if he can be a positive influence somewhere. Preferably on the field but maybe he can show Tyree Wilson some actual technique. Jones seems like a good guy and that he would be a good veteran presence/influence and get a good example of the hard work the young guys need to put it so there can be value in that as well. The money's spent, it's a sunk cost, so unless there's a compelling guy to keep over him I'm fine with him being around. It's $1 MM in cap savings for 2023, since it is after June 1. If they cut him today, they eliminate his $14 MM cap hit for this year, but take on $13 MM 2023 dead money, for a net cap savings of $1 MM this year.
I'm good with four, I just wish we'd join the 2010's and stop with the fullback foolishness.Maaaan they better not keep four RB!
Yeah, I’m not thrilled they spent the #7 overall pick on an injured developmental project. Let’s hope Wilson grows into something special as he gets more experience. Gotta trust Champ and Ziegler on this one.
Tyree Wilson has no idea how to play defensive end. He just ran straight into the blocker on every play and never got free, they constantly stonewalled him or washed him out. He looks like a guy that has never had to learn technique and got by on physically dominating lesser dudes. He's not going to see that much in the NFL, and most of the few he can dominate are going to have plenty of tricks up their sleeves to counter. Hopefully this can be chalked up to lack of experience and this gets coached up, but man this did not look like a player I'd be excited about drafting.

I am not complaining about a FB if we have the top rusher in the league.I'm good with four, I just wish we'd join the 2010's and stop with the fullback foolishness.Maaaan they better not keep four RB!

Yea... one pre-season game after being limited in practice for wla week after being injured for a year is not a performance I am making any big judgments about the kids future career on.Feels like a snap judgment.Yeah, I’m not thrilled they spent the #7 overall pick on an injured developmental project. It was his first game action since Dec, 2022. I think it's fair to suggest the game plan for him was very basic while he regains trust in his foot.

Excellent use of IR here.unning back Brittain Brown, tight end Jacob Hollister

What a colossal draft blunder. To be so wrong about a guy.Leatherwood released by Bears.

The Gruden/Carr relationship is the main reason why I take everything I hear in the media with a grain of salt. For a time, the narrative was Gruden wanted to move on from Carr when in reality it was the farthest thing from the truth. Ultimately it was McDaniels that wanted Carr out. Just keep Gruden away from the draft war room and the Saints will do well to make the playoffs.Leatherwood released by Bears.

Not a judgement, just what I saw. I'm not calling bust or anything and I'll root like hell for him to be great. But man, he looked like a high-schooler out there against guys that aren't going to be employed in 3 days. Plenty of time for him to show more, and perhaps he was just getting out there to knock off the rust and test the foot. It's a long season so plenty of time to get coached up, improve, and grow.Feels like a snap judgment.

Right. Only one game, but there's no plan. He's charges into the OT, which knocked over the RT one time, and he literally pushed the RT past the QB--in front of the QB. That's not easy. If he had any idea where he was, he could have stuck out his left arm and sacked the QB. But he had no idea where the QB was. Tyree might have had his eyes closed, for realsNot a judgement, just what I saw. I'm not calling bust or anything and I'll root like hell for him to be great. im inspiredOnly mentioning this in here because I was talking about something like this up thread.
Looks like the Cardinals stole in my plan and are going all in on tanking for Caleb. No question about it.
The amazing thing is I don't hear a lot of talk about it in the NFL media. It's like everyone recognizes what they are doing and giving it a big, fat meh.
Also wild is they will have their pick, the Texans pick AND the ability to move Murray for additional draft capital AND they took all of Hopkins $20+ mil cap hit this year so, more money to spend.
They are on pace to turn that ship around in a hurry.
Can the Cardinals provide fantasy points to Hollywood?Looks like the Cardinals stole in my plan and are going all in on tanking for Caleb. No question about it.
Wow, I assumed they had traded him already. Can the Cardinals provide fantasy points to Hollywood?Looks like the Cardinals stole in my plan and are going all in on tanking for Caleb. No question about it.

No to any suggestions of bringing him back IMO.
We didn't see enough. He's good enough to make the team, Raiders had five guys they like
Interesting trade for the Chiefs. Veach is usually pretty good at these types of deals. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.We didn't see enough. He's good enough to make the team, Raiders had five guys they like
Did you see the play where he was basically double teamed and while engaged with the tackle on his right side basically just using his left arm shuked the guard backwards on his back?
Just seems like a hungry young buck. If Maxx's motor rubs off on the d-line this group could be a real surprise.Did you see the play where he was basically double teamed and while engaged with the tackle on his right side basically just using his left arm shuked the guard backwards on his back?
I REALLY hope this move keeps him on.
Was MIA last season. Never saw anything in either pre-season for me to get excited. Developmental project IMO.We didn't see enough. He's good enough to make the team, Raiders had five guys they like
I like Rochell upside but expected this.... just a hard fight on that Dline right now for spots.
Raiders released:
Sam Webb
Isaac Rochell
Drake Thomas (please insert your LB hysteria below)
Wow! So Wilkerson made the cut?Cole, Dorsett, D. Williams cut.
Bummer re: Williams. I think he's much better than Zeus, but he has had durability issues for years now, so maybe it was a preference for younger legs.
With the people we have seen gone, I think we keeping all these DL we were wondering about. Maybe even Willis.
