You are dialed into the Raiders' locker room? C'mon man. Hondo is annoying, but he is MUCH closer to the pulse of this team than any fan. Even you.

I am sure he has better access but, apparently his conclusions are the same as mine. So, sure it's a data point but I'm not particularly moved by it.

Feels like filler, particularly because Davis isn't making a coaching mid season so I expect to see Jimmy G under center regardless of what Hondo says the locker room thinks.

Derek Carr has made the Pro Bowl 4 times out of his career with the Raiders. Garoppolo has never made the Pro Bowl in his entire career, and he still won't this season if he makes it through it.

If you're going to move on from Carr, do it with a young QB, not with a washed QB who couldn't make a Pro Bowl as an alternate, in the era where the NFL begs players to attend it.

The Raider defense IMO is much better than they were last season, and defenses can go as well as the quarterback goes, and Garoppolo without a top 5 defense behind him really shows how mediocre he was with one, and much worse without one. The Raider defense can beat a very beatable Green Bay team if the offense doesn't crap the bed, GB is 30th against the rush and 11th against the pass, yet the Raiders are dead last in takeaway differential.

The best way of taking care of the ball is by running the ball, and if the Raiders can't do that, then yeah McD is a bonehead for not being able to establish that, but having a QB turn the ball over doesn't help.

They keep losing , and the fans keep paying , maybe its time to boycott the Raiders and hit`em where it hurts the most, seeing they care more about money than winning.

Apparently the Raiders have been making calls seeking a trade for a player to player switch in adding a pass rusher. I think conventional wisdom would be that Renfrow would be the trade bait. I see that the Jets and Lawson are apparently not playing nice together right now (he was a healthy scratch). The Jets dont need another WR but let's just say that see the value in Renfrow that we apparently can not get out of him.....

Not sure I see the value in a one year rental considering he's going to want $15 mil, or so, per year to stick around but sure, why not?

Prefer they trade for picks though. The fact they would do it for players makes me think the staff doesn't think they'll get a third year if they don't turn it around.

Its good for AOC to watch and learn from the sidelines for half the season. We know the season is over but when it is officially over in a few weeks, roll out the kid and let’s see what he has. Start preparing for next season when he will be penciled in as the starter unless he looks really awful. (Think Mac Jones awful.)
