2023 Las Vegas Raiders (7 Viewers)

they've got to get the run game going. and for the love of god, can they send an extra rusher before the 3rd quarter
I know Patrick Graham is supposed to be some kind of 5-D chess scheme guy and there is a gradual learning curve for his system so it takes people longer to learn*. But once they do learn things are supposed to be glorious in a synchronized swimming way but not so uncomfortable to watch.

But has he given an ETA for when he expects that to happen? Maybe sometime before week 9, 2025?

*Steep curves are adopted faster. Look it up.

i vote the Raiders are the single most frustrating team on the face of the earth
Faust is going to start a 2023 version of his most dysfunctional franchise thread. Maybe we should get him to change it to a most frustrating team thread instead...or have him do both so we can get the sweep.

Tickets finally procured this morning, thursday and friday were the sweet spot but whatever. Time to get my pipes ready to belt out Raaaiidddaaaaahhhssss non stop; 5 hours til my flight and i'm guessing from oakland it will be party in spirit with other fans

So .....

no running the ball ...again
I think people overestimated what Jacobs and the o-line would bring this season.

They played well above their heads last season. Add in Jacobs missing the entire off season program and this isn't a big surprise.

that MUTH chant is embarrassing
Come on now. That was a known going in to Vegas. The access is too easy and Steelers fans travel better that any in the league.

The story has always been that of the Raiders want a home field advantage in Vegas they need to start winning consistently.

Game 3. Lasted longer than I thought. Chances are he is done for the year... just because it is Jimmy G.

O'Connell inactive. Start him next week PLEASE.

I just told my son to go to bed and focus on winners in life, not on losers, like Josh McDonalds and Jimmy Grop. Sage advice for all of us. Raider fan til I die b/c I am not a quitter. But Mork and his minions gotta go.

I told both of my sons years ago…you guys don’t have to root for the raiders just because I do.
best advice I ever gave them.

The worst part of tonight is that I'm actually considering going to Vegas to see the Zach Wilson-led Jets battle it out with Josh McD, Jimmy G, and the Raiders. That's a suckfest all around. Scratch that, I'm not going. Just decided.

That's a terrible thought.

What a great home victory for the Las Vegas Steelers!
I wasn’t expecting much out of the Raiders this year, maybe 7 to 9 wins and some gradual improvements in overall depth and talent. I know McD and Ziegler aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
But it’s such a huge gut punch for me as a long time fan (43 years) and former season ticket holder in Oakland to see the home field advantage completely gone. Hearing the crowd roar when the Steelers made a huge play or when the Raiders were on offense is by far the most upsetting thing to me. Whether the Raiders won or lost, the was a hard thing for me to watch and listen to, very depressing for an old timer who used to take pride in giving the Raiders a home field advantage. Times have changed, more money for Mork but it really sucks to be a Raider fan now.

A lot of things surprise about the Raiders, not having a home field advantage is not one of them. We all knew that was the cost of a move to Las Vegas.

Jimmy had 3 very bad throws in that game... but the FG?! come on. Let's kick a FG only to still need a TD?

Edit, oh and the Bosa sack... that was all Jimmy's fault. The RG (can never spell his name) allowed Bosa to get way deep and Jimmy just get back pedalling right into the tackle.

I agree backpedaling all the way to San Francisco was a bit excessive.

Jimmy does some things well. Competent QB and if you have a good running game and a solid D, he can win games. But he will make a handful of meathead plays every game and as a fan, it's tough to watch when you absolutely know they are coming. He can be playing great and then does a 180 and just starts sucking. He did it in the super bowl against the Chiefs. Was playing a solid game and then crapped the bed in the 4th quarter (2.3 QB rating).

I understand that. But to actually see and hear it happen really sucks.
I dig it. Steelers fans travel better than any fan base in the league. So I expected it.

Only way to change it is to win. This team doesn't seem ready to be doing much of that ATM.

So when do the Raiders see what they really have in AOC ???

Seems like now is as good a time as ever, from what ive seen of him ,hes better than JG , he just needs experience

Why does the Raider running game suddenly suck *** this season? One theory is that defenses don't respect Jimbo's ability to pass it beyond 3 to 5 feet.

That may be part of it, but he's pretty much on par with Carr last year (7.5 y/a, 11.1 y/c, 8.5 IAY for Jimmy and 7.3 y/a, 11.2 y/c, 9.2 IAY for Carr).

I said earlier that I think last year the o-line & Jacobs played well above their level. This year with no substantial improvement to the o-line and Jacobs missing the entire off season program and probably not too happy with how his contract played out simply are regressing to the mean.

The run game was marginally better last night. Then again the Steelers had the worst run defense in the league going into the game.
