2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Complete waste of a season finally comes to an end. (5 Viewers)

Eagles could be without DTs Fletcher Cox and Marlon Tuipulotu Sunday in LA. So former Georgia teammates Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter could start together

Some rival news per Scheftar

Comp update: Broncos are trading pass rusher Randy Gregory and a 2024 7th-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2024 6th-round pick, per sources.

Tuipolutu also ruled out. Luckily we have decent depth at DT. Milton Williams, Moro Ojomo and Kentavious Street - its your time to shine!

Do you think it'll be easier for Kyren Williams to run on Philly with the backups in?
I would say no. The Run D should still be very sound. The only factor that would make me think Williams has a big fantasy day is if LAR get a decent lead and are able to kill clock running the ball. Davis and Carter are not used to playing a ton of snaps, if they get gassed in the 2nd Half, I could see a bug day for him.

The real danger for the Eagles in this game, is if Stafford gets rid of the ball quickly and doesn’t let the Dline get home. Quick slants, Bunch plays and outside screens will tear up the depleted back 7 of the Eagles, especially with Kupp coming back. Higbee is a sneaky good value play.

I think the Eagles win, but Rams cover and bet the over

I think the play calling has gotten better.

OLine was phenomenal. Completely dominated the line of scrimmage.

Our backfield still scares me I feel like Miami is gonna put 50 on us, but hey we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

They only put up 31 against the Giants.

Jalen Carter is good.

Jalen Carter: 3.5 sacks, 12 tackles, 4 TFL, 4 QB hits

Aaron Donald: 2.5 sacks, 20 tackles, 5 TFL, 6 QB hits
Quinnen Williams : 0.5 sacks, 17 tackles, 3 TFL, 6 QB hits
Chris Jones: 4.5 sacks, 8 tackles, 4 TFL, 8 QB hits
Javon Hargrave: 3.0 sacks, 12 tackles, 4 TFL, 6 QB hits

He's already up there producing like the best in the game.
He's actually very very good against the run too! Crazy we literally upgraded from Hargrave and its a rookie that is right now, the best DT in the entire league.

Chris Jones numbers are only 4 games. He's been pretty dominant.

We seem to be making progress each week. IMO this is exactly what you want. 5-0 and we haven't peaked yet.

If we get the #1 seed this year. I really like our chances to win the whole thing.
Absolutely. Playing your best ball in October is meaningless. Eagles need to be at their best in December, January, and February.

According to yesterday's broadcast, this year's Eagles are ahead of last year's in terms of points and yardage per game.

This team is making really good 2nd half adjustments on defense. Bradley Roby is already paying dividends as he is a pro.

The Rams didn't have a single offensive play in Eagles territory in the entire 2nd half yesterday.

Rams also missed a few oppurtunity s a few of those balls by Stafford to Kupp are made I think with more timing and more they gel again. Nacua missed an easy catch (boy he’d have been nice #3 for us) actually 2 that should’ve resulted in big plays. They also got more pressure on Stafford in the 2nd half. Still very worried about this defense against the other big offensive teams we’ll face. We made the plays at the end but I think defensively we got lucky yesterday

Offensively we can’t be making turnovers in the RZ and accepting fgs

Nothing at all related to football and shameless brag but I flew into Vegas 4 hours ago and am already up $700 in poker solely against one player (a Cowboys fan)!
Damn, no update. You lost it all didn't you lol
Up $1217 in one night of playing 1/2 NL holdem. Much of my winnings came against Cowboys fan from Texas. But I will say that he was a really nice guy and great sport about it. :sadbanana: Just got very drunk and played like a moron.
Bet it all on Rams ATS and the Over😉
It was just night 1 of a 5 day trip. Got to pace myself.
Dude, please tell me you are checking out that Sphere thing. That thing looks so freaking cool.
It is cool! Just got back last night. It's simply the coolest venue ever!

1933-2022, games where the Eagles out-gained their opponents by 100+ yards in both rushing and receiving: 6

2023: 2 in the last 3 games.
Just heard another one.
Instances the team has gained 450+ yards in 4 consecutive games prior to 2022: 3
Instances since 2022: 2 (currently have 4 games with 450+ yards. Jets will be a good test to see if we can keep that one going!)

Wanted to get an update in here on the players that we lost that were allegedly going to lead to our 2023 demise and the replacements:

Miles Sanders: 190 yards, 1 TD, 3.1 YPC. 15 receptions, 81 yards. 55.5 PFF Grade
Deandre Swift: 434 rushing yards (4th in the leauge), 2 TDS, 5.7 YPC. 15 receptons, 75 yards. 73.8 PFF grade
Upgrade!

Issac Seumalo: 63.8 PFF grade
Cam Jurgens (who is currently on IR): 65.2, his current replacement with just this last game starting, Sua Opeta: 57.4
Push!

CJ Gardner Johnson: On IR, never made an impact.
Reed Blankeship: 73.4 PFF
Hard to tell b/c CJ is hurt, but Reed looks like a real good player to have in the fold moving forward

Marcus Epps: 66.8 PFF
This role has been filled by a few guys. Overall I'd say the safeties are not as good as they were last year as a consensus group

TJ Edwards: 74.8 PFF
Nakobe Dean on IR, but his replacement looks legit: Nicholas Morrow 84.1 PFF

Kyzir White: 65.7 PFF
Zach Cunningham: 64.2

Seems like an upgrade overall for the unit. The defensive line is allowing LBs to flow to the ball.

Javon Hargrave: 85.0 PFF with 3 sacks
Jalen Carter: 91.8 PFF. Rated the best DT in the entire league. Tied for the lead league in pressures at the position with Aaron Donald, who has about 1.5 more games worth of snaps.

Jonathan Gannon: Did what he had to do and beat the Cowboys. But we do not miss him.
Sean Desai: Sack numbers down, but overall the #1 ranked run defense in the league.
Upgrade

Shane Steichen: Looks to be the QB whisperer for sure.
Brian Johnson: 4 straight games of 450+ yards of offense. Just the 5th time in team history this has happened.
It's still too early to tell, but its a downgrade for now. If for some reason Shane were still here, we'd still be 5-0, but the RZ efficiency would be higher.

Seems like yesterday rival fans on here were celebrating all these departures.

Its even better when you factor in the contracts of the players. I'll take Swift over Sanders any day of the week and twice on Sunday (especially Sundays!).

Practice window for Nakobe Dean is open, so he can come off IR anytime in the next 21 days.

Even though Morrow’s pores coat him with football repellent, he’s played very well as the Mike, and Cunningham has done well as the other LB. Will be interesting to see what kind of rotation or combos they use, once Dean is back.

I think we need to get Dean in there and rotate Zach and Morrow on situations.

I’ve never liked Miles like others did but he was a decent player. I just think a lot of locals overrated the guy do yo who he played for in college. He isn’t the first or last guy either.

I’m not a fan of our safeties right now. We essentially signed like 3 guys to replace 2 of them that doesn’t bode well. I think a Blankenship is good but he can’t be the guy. If CJGJ was here he’d be an excellent complimentary safety. I think Reed is one of those safeties paired with a better safety is a good partnership. He just shouldn’t be counted on as the guy.

Swift I’ve always liked and him and JJ were my top guys for the eagles. Not bum Reagor

Why can't Blankenship be the guy? He's playing pretty good ball. Are you biased against him simply b/c he was undrafted? He's got great instincts and football IQ and is a great tackler in run support. Not sure what else you would want. And the other S spot is going to be Sydney Brown eventually.

The 10th highest graded safety by PFF is 77.8 and Reed is at a 73.4.

Thoughts on the upcoming Jets game? Should be a good test for the offense. Thinking the DL should feast on that O line. Maybe pick off Wilson a few times.
