2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Complete waste of a season finally comes to an end. (10 Viewers)

Not sure it was possible, but after watching your Coach get all cocky in his presser, I think his face is more punchable than before
Yeah I feel ya there. Love him as our coach. He definitely doesn't cower to criticism, or the conservative analytics. The kinda guy you love leading you, hate going against. A perfect fit for Philadelphia.
Not sure I’d love him leading my team. Guy acts like a total doosh when there’s a camera around 🤷🏻‍♂️
To each their own. I guess he could cosplay being Vince Lombardi instead if that is more your style.

Currently the 4th highest winning % of all coaches all time. He's doing something right.

Way better than Mike McCarthy

don’t really watch pressers or interviews
I don’t either. Was watching PTI this evening and made the mistake of not changing the channel before the Van Pelt pregame thing came on.

To answer your question…idk I guess. When’s the last time a team win a SB because of the head coach?

All I know is, your HC loves to see his face on camera. And I find him to be an arrogant jackass

Way better than just about any coach in the league right now…

I mean, can I have an opinion on him as a fan of the game? Or does it have to be Cowboys related ?
Of course you can. But if you hate Nick for being a dbag, what are your thoughts on McCarthy shoving cameramen outta the way or cosplaying to be Vince Lombardi. I'd rather have a coach that just does words and gets under people's skin than a guy that dresses up in a costume and gets into physical stuff with guys just trying to do their job, like cameramen. We admit Nick is kind of a D*** and that is why we love him, b/c he does it while winning and it makes it fun. Sometimes he goes over the top though, and he's gotta walk the right line. But overally, I'm not sure any fanbase, I guess except a few would say "I Don't want a coach that has a 70% winning percentage b/c hes a dbag sometimes"

As the saying goes, winning cures.

I’ll tell you this. I’m a football fan. I’m fan enough to admit Jimmy Johnson was a **** as a HC.
He won, and I’m happy for the rings. But dude was a di ck. I won’t deny it like you do Sirriani

Rasul on this list is a bit surprised. Always liked him so good for him

Lowest passer rating allowed as nearest defender in coverage:

1) #Cowboys Trevon Diggs - 63.0
2) #Packers Rasul Douglas - 66.7
3) #Titans Kevin Byard - 67.9
4) #Broncos Patrick Surtain - 68.6

* Over the last 3 seasons, via ESPN.

Also, I think we can all agree by now that Desai is a HUGE upgrade over Jonathan Gannon. I can only think of what Gannon would have done against the Dolphins last night with all the players we have out at key positions in the secondary. Desai is much more situationally aware and shows more creativity in his calls, IMO.

Statically speaking Desai’s defense are a lot worse than what Gannon did last year.

And he’s blitzing less lol

Yesterday he did a lot of what Gannon did in his time here. Zone it up and let the DL do work. Our DL, against an OL missing 3 starters and a not real mobile QB helps too
They are worse in fantasy this year than last as well. Defense has played well through the eye test but statistics are down.
Yeah I don't give a s*** about the fantasy side of the defense. I just pressure and wins. Stopping the run doesn't get fantasy points, but it definitely helps win Championships
It does in my league. We start with 22 and points scored and yards gained make it go down from there. Sacks, fumbles, ints and safeties obviously make it go back up.
Interesting. Why 22? Most leagues I play have 10 pts up or down based on results

Congrats on being BY FAR the best team in the NFC.

Niners are pretenders. Not sure whats wrong but they're just not good all of a sudden.

This is literally what I said, exactly 1 spot above your post. Still waiting to hear if you got problems with coaches shoving cameramen as much as a guy acting "like a doosh in front of the camera"

I mean, can I have an opinion on him as a fan of the game? Or does it have to be Cowboys related ?

First they let us get Jalen Carter.

Then they let us get Kevin Byard.

Now they seem to be in the process of letting the NFC Title game run through Philly.

Lotta games left and anything can happen, and I'm definitely beating the drum louder each week, but

The Gauntlet looks *even less* daunting now after what I just witnessed. If rookie WR Jordan Addison, with no Justin Jefferson on the opposite side, can go wild against this Niners team, I can only dream of what AJ Brown can do as he is in the midst of what possibly could be one of the greatest seasons of all time by a WR. And we got other weapons.

One game at a time still. Commanders up next.

But its been a great week for the Eagles in every possible aspect.

I quit reading as soon as he brought up McCarthy. Dallas has nothing to do with this conversation. It’s typical and tired

Philly is impressive but beatable, and I say this as a Dolphin fan. Hurts seems to be a turnover machine this year.

That being said, teams, basically need to keep them from third and short/medium bc there is no answer for the Brotherly shove that I can see.

In the AFC, I think Miami (healthy), the Bills, the Chiefs, and Jax can give them a run for their money (KC's D is very impressive so far this year).

In the NFC, San Fran (assuming Purdy is not in a slump now), Detroit (i'm sure campbell wants a go at them), and some surprise BS team (ironically, the Cowboys?) could give them some issues.

A bunch of the Hurts turnovers have been somewhat "fluky". But agree, they need to limit them. If they do, they'll be very hard to beat.

BTW, I don't know exactly how this works, but if I was a team playing the eagles in the superbowl, I'd sign two sumo wrestlers to the squad and put them in the center of the line for the brotherly shove.

(I am not against it, but I think, by rule, the whole concept of "pushing someone from behind" should be outlawed. This includes when a runner is stopped and all of a sudden an O lineman comes flying in to push him forward)

and how about when a defender and RB are face to face and suddenly 3 more defenders join to push him backwards. Sorry, but I fail to see how that's really all that different. These sorts of joint efforts happen ALL OVER the field all the time. Outlawing the brotherly shove opens a whole can of difficult worms, and people complain about refs enough now as it is.

And here's the funniest thing.. NOBODY else is doing it anywhere near to the same level of efficiency. Why? because it isn't really about the shovers...it's a QB who squats 600 and a first ballot HOF center.
People in general should just GET OVER IT. The advantage Philly has is that first and ten is really first and 9. Realize that and move on

I still think when push comes to shove, Buffalo is better than Miami. Also, as much as it pains me to say it, I have the Cowboys ahead of the Seahawks.

I agree on Dallas, but I don't think Buffalo is better than Miami, at the moment. Injuries on Defense with guys they aren't getting back have turned their D more pedestrian. And Tua is playing better than Allen, this year.

It's interesting how much they care about what others think. All I see on social media for the most part is them complaining about media coverage. Very insecure fanbase.
