2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Complete waste of a season finally comes to an end. (4 Viewers)

Boy, NFL schedulers really ****ed us.

Week 12 Thursday night game is SF vs Seattle. We play SF (in one of our biggest games of the year) the following week, week 13.

Week 13 Thursday night game is Seattle at Dallas. We play Dallas (the other biggest game of the year) in week 14.

So in back to back weeks, against our two toughest and most consequential opponents, they both are coming off 10-day long mini bye weeks.

This might be the hardest schedule I’ve ever seen for the eagles.

That's the price you pay when you are coming off the easiest schedule in professional sports history and this year we obviously have the refs paid off to make all the calls go our way.

I actually paid some refs off personally myself.

I get it dude. When your team is as overrated as yours is…you need to pull out all the stops to ensure victory

Bernard Williams was an offensive tackle who was suspended indefinitely in NINETEEN NINETY FIVE for weed after being named to the 1994 all-rookie team. He apparently never applied for reinstatement and then went to the CFL. He is now 51 years old.
Entertaining article about the guy.

My favorite part of the article involved Ricky Williams.

He was playing for the Toronto Argonauts in 2006 when Ricky Williams jumped to the CFL after being suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s drug policy. The team’s new star was planning a return to the NFL, which meant he couldn’t smoke in Canada despite the CFL’s policy that allowed players to. So he stayed away from the former Eagle.

“But then I told him, ‘The league can’t come up here and test you,’” Williams said. “He said, ‘Really?’ I said, ‘Yeah, they won’t give them a work visa to come up here and test you. He said, ‘Are you serious?’ I knew all the rules. The next day, he was at my house every day smoking until my roommate came home. All he wanted to do was smoke weed and play Madden. He loved playing with the Falcons and Michael Vick. That’s what we did.”

Haven't had a prediction wrong yet this year, didn't make one ahead of the Jets game. I think it'll be surprisingly low scoring with both teams well prepared. Eagles pull off a tough one 24-20

Yeah but the last 3 weeks are Clear sailing. It's like we are going to get a month off

And the bills and Seattle are not going to be as hard as we thought when the season began.

Still think we prob loose 2 of the Dallas, kc, sf games though

9-0 So far this season (had NYJ game as a loss, albeit when Rodgers was still alive). This KC game was the next loss on my prediction sheet. I'm way less concerned as I was before the season. Their offense doesn't seem to be clicking like it usually does, but their defense looks to be better.

I don't know how the team feels, but as a fan this is a must-win catharsis game. Super Bowl memories, Andy Reid undefeated against the Birds during his KC tenure, even the whole "Andy Reid after the bye is unstoppable" bs. The pragmatist in me says this is an AFC game that has less of an impact on our seeding than the next few against SF and especially in Dallas. A loss here would not be good, but it could definitely be worse. The fan in me says we HAVE to beat these ****ing guys.

The winner of this game is the favorite to win it all and the winning QB is the clear favorite to win MVP.

Concern about the Dallas Goedert impact on pass game and the run game; but they have to get the run game going and continue it all four quarters-that includes Jalen. This will be the week we see if the Cam Jurgens absence really made a difference.

I'm going to rescind my pre-season prediction of a loss, because **** IT! We have to beat the ****ing guys!!

Eagles win by a nose 34-31

I see a path to victory as long as we can control the ball.

Remember, we win the Super Bowl if it weren’t for Hurts fumble.

It will be a dogfight for sure. I’m expecting a good game. I’m making wings!

Was just in the Eagles Pro Shop today searching for kelly green jerseys. I think the people who make the decisions on the design of these jersey's are morons.

They have a $350 version where everything is hand stitched, but the sleeves are designed for shoulder pads so they don't fit right.

They have a $175 version where some of the things are hand stitched (the Nike logo, the NFL logo, the Eagles throwback logo) but the names and numbers are pressed on and the sleeves aren't designed for pad but are regular.

Then they have a $130 version where everything is pressed on.

They don't have a version where the sleeves are normal, but everything is hand stitched. I have a black, white and dark green jersey where everything is hand stitched. Eagles need to end their partnership with Fanatics, they are a garbage company putting out mediocre products.

EDIT: I bought the $175 version for Jalen Hurts.

We also traded a FG for a TD in the 2nd half and got lucky s Sanders fumble def TD was called back for incomplete at the start of the 2nd half.

God speaking of Sanders so glad we got swift now.

DHLgate shop buddy. I get all my eagles stuff jersey wise there. Look like the real thing for $30 each. It may take a month to get here but well worth it. I get rave reviews on my Mitchell and ness Kelly a green cunningham jersey and people are shocked when I tell them where I got it.

Jerseys fit real good. Basketball and baseball and hockey are great too. My only complaint is the soccer jerseys. But it’s well worth the price. No need to spend hundreds on something you can get from China. May not be the authentic but feels looks and wears like it. Like I said most people don’t know the difference. I got a Devonta Smith black one and had someone ask at the pro shop how I got one so fast as it was the one they were short stock on.

Also supports 4 year olds making their parents a few extra dollars a day, so that's good too.

I bought it as an Xmas gift. I need to be able to return it.

Damn, lions almost lost. We needed that.

Who cares about the Lions. Eagles need to win their division first and foremost. They need to be home if/when they play SF or Dallas. I think Philly can win in Detroit if it came to that.
Fair but I'd prefer a home game than a road game in the nfcc wouldn't you? And wouldn't you prefer the bye to not having a bye?

We don't play today, it's not like it hurts us to cheer for the Lions to lose and give us a potential better situation.

I care, definitely. You're right about winning the division and I think we will. But I want the first round bye. Playing two home games, where you are almost certainly the favorite, to get to the Super Bowl is substantially better than playing three games with an away NFCCG where you are probably a dog.

Exactly. It's not like we are the players on the team that were focusing on the Lions game hours before we are about to play lol. We are fans, watching a game on a day the Eagles don't play, is not going to affect anything.

Their biggest weapon is Kelce. Byard has had success against him in the past when in Tennessee.

right. the key to limiting them isn't really the secondary. The weapons outside of Kelce don't beat anybody quickly. The key is getting relatively quick pressure, and I think the Eagles can do that successfully

Unless the chiefs hairspray their entire field.

Feeling better today about the matchup than I did on Friday. Can't wait to get the work day over with. Just need pressure up the middle on Mahomes and like "some" improvement in the passing defense and I really like our chances.

:deadhorse: One More time, we need to focus on a strong running game. Maybe use "some" play action. That would be cool.

Money well spent lol

Playcalling is atrocious
Said it before and I’ll say it again. We are winning in spite of these coordinators.

But I’ll take the luck and wins over losses lol
Question is how much longer can they keep this up? Itd getting alarming concerning and they came off the bye and don’t look like they fixed anything.

Also this offebse doesn’t fair too well when Dallas Goadert isn’t there.

Just have to hope they’re clicking by the playoffs at this point.

One guy shouldn’t have that big of an impact. Every other starter was playing on offense and at times we looked it it was pre season
