2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Nelson Mandela, Central Park 5, West Memphis 3, Big Dom. Yet another gross miscarriage of justice. Free Big Dom! (23 Viewers)

Reading on the twitters prelim info on Maddox is a torn pec, pending MRI confirmation. Just a bummer. Goodrich definitely isn't ready to take over. Gonna be a fun season w injuries I guess.

Per John Clark

Sources tell me there is worry that Avonte Maddox tore his pec muscle last night. He was getting an MRI this morning.🙏

My take. Never apologize for a win.

However, you don’t have to be a football savant to see you guys aren’t playing your best ball. Something just doesn’t pass the eye test. I’m certainly not talking trash or stirring crap. You guys have a great team, but my old Football eyes say it looks like a step slower (especially defensively) for whatever reason…

New coaches, injuries, play calling all are factors.

Long season still to go.
Congrats on 2-0

we were lucky last year on this front. Looks like it’s gonna catch up to a session unfortunately
agree. I mean its swinging hard back at us this year already.

"What happened to that vaunted Eagles defense" lol funny there are other rival fans talking about us in OTHER rival fans' threads.

Injuries be a b.

Thoughts from my view yesterday a few rows from the Eagles bench and the blue tent:
  • Pre game, when the trained bald eagle circled the stadium and landed on the field, Jordan Davis' eyes and face were lit up like something I haven't seen since my kids believed in Santa. He thought it was the coolest thing he ever saw.
  • Also, Connor Barwin (on the sidelines as an assistant) was jaw-droppingly star struck by Michael Buffer opening things with his "Let's get ready to rumble" thing.
  • There were multiple times when the blue tent had a line to get in, like a Saturday night at Studio 54 in the 70's. 2 games in 4 days to start the year will do that.
  • Maddox looked like he had a broken collarbone or bad shoulder labrum tear, the way his arm was hanging as he walked by toward the locker room. Like, an 8-12 week type thing, at least.
  • The AJ/Hurts/Nick conversation didn't look like anything "dramatic" in real-time and within the context of all the other things going on on the sideline.

Personal note, Connor Barwin lives down the street from me. I'm on the 1100 block, he's on the 1300 block. Also, Jason Kelce used to come into our rec center with his family. Not sure they live in my neighborhood anymore. That is all.
Jason lives in Havertown Brandon Graham down the street from him. John LeClair also lives in the area.

defensive line is crazy good. we are going to almost always give up big passing numbers cause teams cannot run on us. plus we score and they have to pass to keep up.
if the offense can possess the ball like we did last night we are going to be tough to beat

Agree with this. Jordan Davis, Sweat, Milton Williams all look improved. Reddick w the clubhand, not making an impact yet though. Cox and Carter look like they have a ton of juice this year.

And back to Carter - holy crap is this guy going to be good. They might talk about his accident thing before he got drafted as long as they talk about Santa being booed though, it seems.

"Hey Jalen Carter making an impact, but let me tell you about all the crappy things about him personally" Good job there Al!

absolutely has to mean there's someone already in the works, right? i mean, Evans was literally the next man up.

Yeah something is up. 10 days to work someone in. Do it howie
Budda Baker just added to the ARI injury report, with a hamstring 🤔

Budda Baker is like a pitcher with a no hitter going in the 7th. You are not allowed to talk about it or acknowledge it, but you are hoping that it happens.

Cool video on Zaccheus and swift from st joes prep

What a great opener for our Birds and it was wonderful to see D'Andre Swift '17 and Olamide Zaccheaus'15 back home wearing Eagles uniforms.

You have heard all about their football skills but learn more about the people they are from those who know them best -- their parents, teachers, and coaches -- and how they were supported on their journey from the Prep to the Linc.

We’re impressed by the players that Olamide and D’Andre have become, but we’re proudest of the men they have become. We cheer them every Sunday - and stand with them always as part of our Prep Family.

We need DB help and lb next year. Slot guy, punter, return specialist
Already got the slot guy with us claiming Isaiah Rodgers off the Colts since he is suspended all year for gambling.

Linebacker - we'll just bring in more UDFA's or guys almost at the end of their careers unfortunately.

Watching the NYG and WSH getting killed. DAL in a dogfight with NYJ. SF down against the LAR. KC struggling on offense. CIN 0-2.

It's hard to win in the NFL. It doesn't always look pretty. Just win baby! Eagles 2-0. Be happy.
Ya, it's a weird year. All the teams that looked to be the class of the league (Bengals, Bills, Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys) have looked shaky.

This is what happens when you get too conservative in Pre season and don’t give starters live reps

week 13 is pretty much an auto win. the commentators for the 49ers game are biggest joke I have heard all year

100%. I hope the Niners just forfeit so we don't have to feel the Eagles wrath.

:hophead:
will be a fun one with the trash-talking back and forth. just know any coming from me and probably most in here will be pretty much in jest and good-hearted smack talking. and if the Eagles lose it we can wear the paper bag on our head in shame.

in all honesty, just hope both teams make it that far healthy to have a good game

Thursday, D'Andre Swift's 175 yards rushing were most by an #Eagles player since @CutonDime25 had 217 in Dec. 2013.
Today, James Cook's 123 yards were most by a #Bills back since LeSean McCoy had 156 in Dec 2017.
