The ones the keep helping the Celtics win are certainly biased (see Tatum’s game winner which was clearly a travel - confirmed by the NBA the next day).
At this very moment in time, I think the majority of teams that could be interested in him and his contract as underwater. I imagine somebody would trade for him assuming positive value, but I genuinely don't know who it would be or what kind of positive value they would give.
I think Golden State with something Wiggins, Kuminga, Looney and flotsam with some draft capital (GSW has some decent picks) would be realistic. Or Miami with something like Bam, Robinson, and picks... I think I actually really like that if the Philly/Embiid relationship goes down the toilet.
Golden State owes a 2030 first to Washington (top 20 protected). They don't have any additional firsts so they could offer their own 2026 and 2028 or their 2025 and 2027. Not very exciting picks, except maybe the 2028?

He looked terrible out there. Zero free throws. Just slow and non-aggressive. He shouldn’t have played in the Olympics. He looks like he needs another month of rest and then a ramp up for basketball.
Anfernee Simons would be a much better trade for them. Lavine is the slightly better player but Simons is on a better contract now, fits the rest of the Magic's timeline, and has more traditional PG skills to fit their roster better. It would probably take a first rounder and for the trade to be made a three way with KCP going to a third team and the resulting minor assets to the Blazers (Lakers for like a couple seconds and Russell? Bucks for some draft equity and some of their trash? Sixers if they could make the money work?).
They sure are. But where are they going to find a two way guard that can actually be responsible for driving some good offense and shoot the ball from deep? How many of those players are there in the NBA? How many have there been in the last 20 years?
At some point between now and next season, they'll end up trading for a guard that is a long term solution next to Suggs. I through out the list of legit SGs a couple pages ago when I was making my point about Braun. The list of good PGs is deeper, but the list of two way PGs basically starts and ends with SGA - so if they went PG over SG, there are no choices that wouldn't hurt their defense.
I don't watch much Magic basketball, but is he really a long term solution on a team that is more or less set at the other 4 positions and desperately needs some shooting and creation from the 2?
Bill Simmons doesn’t even have him in his top ten.
I watch a decent enough basketball (including most of the Olympic Games over the summer) and I don’t get it. He still seems like one of the league’s best on any given night.
Neither does Basketball Reference. For now, they have it as Jokic and a bunch of other people to round out the Top 10. They have Lebron 29th in WS, 43rd in WS/48, 55th in TS%, 12th in VORP, and 15th in PER. He's having a strong season so far, but so are a lot of other players (including some on teams that will likely finish higher than the Lakers).
Topics of the 76ers' team meeting after Monday's loss included Joel Embiid's tardiness, the desire to be coached harder and a call to urgency, sources told ESPN.

I mean teammate or not, it's absolutely ridiculous to act like Draymond is anything but a bully. Unbelievable that the league doesn't have a significantly more meaningful punishment for him by now.

Biggest expected topic of discussion at the IST in Vegas is if they add Seattle/Vegas teams, who gets to move to the East? Memphis, Dallas, OKC, New Orleans, and Minnesota likely to make strongest pushes.
I believe Memphis and one of NO/MIN makes most sense travel wise?
But Dallas...if we're just gonna make things like OKC in the Northwest we should put Dallas in the Philly/NY division. Then we can hate their bball times like their football teams.
