2024 Buffalo Bills (1 Viewer)

How much does Cooper have left in the tank? The Browns have been so far off my radar the past couple years. I don't recall the last time I really watched them.

“Sources: The #Bills are trading for #Browns WR Amari Cooper, sending a third-round pick in a pick swap.

Full details:
BUF gets WR Amari Cooper and 6th in 2025
CLE gets 3rd in 2025 and a 7th in 2026”

And there’s the #1 we need.

I don't know if he's a game changer for them.
Seems it makes them better, but Allen has been spreading the ball around this year
Does give him one more option downfield
Could help Shakir and open up the middle a little more
As long as they keep running the ball the way they are they'll be fine

I don't know that the 2024 Bills are good enough to be trading away draft assets for a one-year rental.

If Milano can actually return in December, this team absolutely has a chance IMO. It would be great if either Edwards or Bishop get to the point where they can take over for Hamlin because Hamlin just shouldn’t be a starter. They need better reaction times at that position.

Jury is still out on the offense IMO. Josh is playing really really well. Cooper should push everyone else down a notch and suddenly things seem a lot more reasonable at the WR position. Cooper as the X, Shakir as the Z and Coleman more in the slot could be fairly solid. Then you get the pop of Cook and power of Davis.

I’m still flummoxed as to why Kincaid has been virtually eliminated from the gameplan though. Thought for sure he’d be way more of a focus.

Bass is by far my biggest current concern though. You can just feel him costing them a playoff game.

If things play out like most are expecting them to, the addition of Cooper is going to give Kincaid back the room he's used to/might need, to operate at peak efficiency.

IMHO, now would be a great time to acquire Kincaid on the cheap, if the guy who's rostering him is disappointed with his production so far, and sees the addition of Cooper as another negative development.

DeWayne Carter needs wrist surgery and has been put on IR. The injuries just keep piling on for Buffalo. So cursed. It really sucks too because he may have actually been playing like their best DT.

Bernard out this week too with the ankle injury.

It’s just getting old and frustrating.

We’re 9 games into the season and Josh has just 2 INTs. One where his receiver fell down and one where Coleman just straight up batted the ball into the air. Josh not playing hero ball is an amazing development and the Bills keep winning games because of him.

Read Beanne might be done. But really hoping we can find a replacement for Hamlin the rest of this year. He’s not very good.
And wouldn’t mind seeing a possible trade for a LB.

I'm torn. On one hand, I am still fairly bearish on this year's team, so I'm reluctant to trade away draft assets. On the other hand, we are 7-2. We're going to host at least one playoff game, and we have a decent chance at the #2 seed despite the tiebreakers not being in our favor. The #1 seed is still in play for two more weeks, at least. I really do not see this team beating three playoff opponents in a row to reach the SB, but the table is set and it does seem like we need to take our shot.

To be fair, the Bills do have talent, and it seems like somebody gets hot every year and turns that into a deep playoff run. No reason why that can't be Buffalo. But they sure haven't shown us "hot" yet.

Great time at the game yesterday. Amazed that Bass made that one to win the game. Great for him.
Did he have any wind at his back?

That was a blast. It would have made it in the stands (I think) if not for the net. Seemed like it would have been good from 70 yards.
I honestly think I recall the announcers saying he was kicking into the wind. That kick would have been good from 75 yards or more! It crossed the uprights over halfway up!

At the 50 second mark in this video you can see the angle from the end zone looking up

Hard to believe they’re 8-2. Especially with all the injuries. I know injuries are a part of the game, but they’ve been pretty rough.

If, IF, they can get everyone healthy in time for the playoffs, they have a shot. The defense would look a lot different with Milano back. Can Carter come back and be healthy at DT, because he was playing fantastic there before the injury. Get Cooper and Coleman healthy and suddenly they look pretty solid with Cooper/Shakir/Coleman.

There are still a lot of questions, but you can see a path for them.

That being said, they’re likely to get killed by the Chiefs this week.

Goal number 1 is to get healthy. Even beating KC I don’t see them getting the one seed. Take advantage of the bye and don’t rush anyone back, get two weeks to heal.

Wrap up the division early, play just enough against the Pats and Jets to keep your edge and enter the playoffs in much better shape than the last two years (health wise)

They're going to crush the Chiefs.
Agree.

Chiefs offense is dog crap. Mahomes looks so gun-shy now because he's trying not to turn over the ball. But he's just gonna have to trust Hopkins and Kelce and just throw the ball.

He's turning into Alex Smith. Now - his left tackles have been horrible, but Reid ain't doing him any favors with his play calling. He's gonna have to start rolling Mahomes out to the right or something.

But this offense is badly broken.

I just wonder if the Chiefs have been going more vanilla on both offense and defense to be able to save things for the playoffs (and games like this one against the Bills)

Reid definitely saves stuff for the playoffs.

For this game I doubt it. He knows there is a good chance they will meet up again. These teams know each other so well at this point these are more like division games more than anything.

Don’t you come in this thread every time before the Bills chiefs play and say how the Chiefs will lose?

Don’t the Bills usually beat the chiefs (in regular season)?

he attempts the reverse jinx all season long and says the chiefs will lose every game. It's worked pretty well for him so far.

Last three Mahomes games against Buffalo regular season (all losses)
60.6%, 5TDs, 5INTs, 6 sacks

Last three Mahomes games against Buffalo playoffs (all wins)
76.7%, 8TDs, 0INTs, 3 sacks

Five of the six were in KC, with only the playoff game last year in Buffalo.

Bills have a bye and hopefully get Milano and Brown back after the bye. Maybe Coleman too? Carter a few weeks after that?

They could be getting some major game changing type guys back on both sides of the ball as we hit December.

The Niners and Rams aren’t looking fantastic right now, but neither team should be underestimated and the Lions look like the best team in football. Add in 3 division games to finish the year and the Bills have a gauntlet still to run. But if they can get, and keep, everyone healthy, they are contenders. Which is not something I envisioned them being this year.

It's pretty cool that seemingly every single Bills-Chiefs game is an absolute banger. It sure would be nice to trade some of this regular-season success for a playoff win, but still. Fun rivalry, and I imagine neutrals are enjoying it too.

Oh yeah, and Kincaid back too. Somehow forgot him.

Thinking about an offense that lines up Cooper, Kincaid, Coleman and Shakir is pretty appealing. Sprinkle a little Hollins and Samuel in there.

And then Milano and Bernard prowling the 2nd level?! With a healthy Carter back helping clog up the middle of the D-line.

That was one of the best games I've been to. I wish I didn't burn my phone battery watching the Steelers game in the lot, or I would have taken video of the mobs of fans dancing in the concourse after the game instead of herding out of the stadium. I've never seen it quite like that, even after the few playoff wins I've been at.

Anyway, great win. It's kind of a bummer they had the missed XP and the fluky(?) Allen/Knox INT, or this could have been closer to a route than a close game to the end.

And, yes! Good time for a bye. Let's start to get some reinforcements back.

Coming along nicely. Lot of football between now and then, but the Week 15 matchup in Ford Field should be a great test for both squads.

Enjoy the bye & GL RoS - hoping y’all win 7 of the next 8.

But if the game wasn't close, we would have been robbed of the 4th-and-2 play. It was worth keeping it close just for that play.

That was pretty much the Platonic form of a "good" Josh Allen play. He improvised, ran right past three NFL defenders who all simultaneously realized too late that they each took the wrong angles, ran through arm tackle, and then just trucked poor #6 on his way into the end zone. That was biggest regular season play that we are likely to experience this season, given the standings.

Then again, Allen does something like this almost every week. Just the week before he had that shotput-pass to Quentin Morris for a TD where it's not clear how Allen was even able to see Morris, let alone complete a pass to him.

If the Buffalo Defense is on your waiver wire, now is the file to grab them if you have a slot you can stash them. Milano should be back this week and ramp up over the next 2-3 weeks in playing time. They then get New England week 16 and the Jets week 17.
