2024 College Football Thread: Local team chokes in playoff game at JerryWorld (4 Viewers)

Wonder what the odds change was for each team to win on that play. Had to be massive. Though I guess with it already being 4th down Texas’s odds weren’t great.

Sweep on 2nd and goal from the 1 wasn't as bad as calling a pass for Russell Wilson from the 1, but it's up there. The only way to not score there was a big negative play and they set themselves up for it.

I was already thinking in my head about how Ohio State would need to drive down and try to just get in FG and have that be the last play so Texas would not get it back once it got to 1st and goal at the 1. I mean how you don't score there if you are Texas is crazy I don't care how great Ohio State D has been in goal to goal it is from the 1 yard line.

That sweep was about as dumb as OSU doing the sweep on 3rd and 1 from their own 20 earlier.

How in Gods name did this team lose at home to Michigan as a 20 point favorite ?

I know Michigan beat Bama but still they were at home

It ain't all ewers' fault, but leaving a sophomore manning on the bench was coaching malpractice. He's the better player and should have been in there since August. They'd be better for it

Hard to believe this is the same team. Gotta give Day credit for turning the ship around in a hurry. Gotta clean up all the dumb penalties, but if this defense shows up, they’re going to be tough to beat.

Texas just did not want this one huh

I love this for Ohio though. Day gets a 10 year extension. And everytime they bring up their National Title, I can mention they didn't beat Michigan.
Careful what you wish for… how long did it take Harbaugh to break through? And he had to cheat to do it.

According to ESPN’s win probability, it went from 81.9% OSU to 99.9%. It had been 63% OSU before the pitch play.

This game's a whole lot easier when you're just born on 3rd base
