2024 College Football Thread: Michigan beats world famous opponent (8 Viewers)

Tennessee just went for it on 4th and 1 from their own 9 yard line :shock:

ETA: They converted it, and then threw a pick 2 plays later anyway :lmao:

ACC refs at it again. Reviewed a potential TD to give it to Stanford, clearly short. Next play he’s stopped even further away, they call TD and refuse review. Unreal.
As a VT alum with kids that went to UVA, I watch a lot of bad ACC football. But one thing is consistent, the bad refs. Watch the basics like spotting the ball in Q1. They are often off by 2-3 yards. So lazy. My understanding is they get $3000 per game and only 12 games. So $36K + expenses for the college regular season. It's not a lucrative career. So you get what you get
I get a lot of these guys could be underpaid and still might be the exact same crews, but hearing conference affiliation is ACC when an ACC school is playing a B1G school or whatever just taints too much.

Make them regional. Set up an expected pay scale. Also make their governing board conference agnostic so any favoritism, perceived or actual, has an independent entity behind it as responsible

If the on-screen was right on the previous play, they should have reset it to 11 seconds, not 10. Wonder if it’d have mattered, but a blunder by a seasoned QB otherwise. Oof.

Outcoached. Bucks barely even tried to stretch the defense all night, and the Ducks didn’t have their best pass rusher. The defense stayed in the plane, Jack Sawyer was 100% invisible, Burke got burned for almost 200yds and 2 TDs. That was an embarrassing performance.

That being said, Oregon is better than I thought they would be. They didn’t shut down our run game, but somehow made it largely irrelevant. Their offense was imaginative and Gabriel used the time that the oline gave him to be deadly in the first half. Good game, ducks. See you in Indy.

Man..
So close to the gators overcoming the halftime phone call from the sec office to not let another one of their darlings go down (for a second loss).

Napier still gotta go. Horrific play calling.
