somehow, i always get sucked in spending $200 or so being out of market to watch this ****show. i swore off them during the wilson years, but it’s hard to remove 50 years of fandom. just a horribly managed organization from head to toe. usually, horribly coached. how this was their effort after a 10 day hiatus is all on saleh, whose time has come. in season changes are brutal and there really is no one to elevate. cause if saleh goes, hackett can’t be elevated. that leaves ulbrich? ugh. what a mess. at least it’s been fun watching reddick on the edge, ooops. and all i read and hear is that quinnen williams is all world and this and that. man, sometimes he just seems to be inactive to me. when they are being gashed in the run game, i don’t even notice him. lots of blame to go around, but there is no offensive imagination and i don’t think saleh understands that each game has both offense and defense, ala rex. but rex got 2 teams to the conf final.tough to continue to care about this team, it is groundhog day time and time agan
He runs the least creative offense but tries to get cute when it matters. How do you not run Braelon Allen 3 straight times there, He was a beast yesterday.Throwing to your D tackle in the red zone when you have Mike Williams, Wilson, Lazard and Hall as potential options along with just pounding a 235 lb RB through the line is unforgivable.
This is the one I don't get. Conklin thrived with Zach under center. Got open short and bulled his way to nice gains. I thought Rodgers would LOVE this guy, but he's an afterthought,TE: Conklin showed his break out was 1 week only
All good points - the worst is the team is in complete limbo with him. Seriously doubt that he'll want to start over with a new coaching staff so either he'll retire after one year and the team is stuck without a QB or we are stuck with his coaching band of misfits for yet another year. Perhaps he would come back if his buddy McCarthy gets fired by Dallas and comes in as OC or HC but then Jets are stuck with another lousy coach. This is the one I don't get. Rodgers insists on making his boy Lazard the star of the offense - it's the last guy the offense should feature.
I know Rodgers gives us hope, and he's the best QB we've seen on this team in years but the guy has done just as much damage to this franchise as good with brining in his good ol' boy network, which includes the worst OC in the league.
Yes, I really don't like much about him personally, but the team's success is tied to him so its not like I won't root for him.Doesnt seem to be a good way out of this mess so no choice but to root that Rodgers gets hot and carries this mess.

To be fair - GW was Surtained and has been covered by some pretty good CBs that shut down a lot of top WRs. However - a good OC would find ways to get him the ball. Move him around/etc - OC just doesnt have any clue. I think GW gets hot in the next few games - if not hes costing himself a ton of $This is the one I don't get. I actually thought the same on Sunday. Now Lazard is his go to guy? ugh. Yet we keep ignoring GW. Hard to fathom. Almost as much as not using Allen from the 1 yard line.
Are these coaches freaking idiots? yes, apparently so, but I/we have known this for a few seasons.
we've been saying this for years in here, unfortunately."I don’t think we do a lot of different stuff to be honest. I watch football on Sundays and I see a lot of teams mix it up and stuff like that. I don’t think we do that. I think we know our identity. It’s just about going out and executing it or figuring out if it’s going to work. I don’t think we’re trying a lot of different things.
yep - but for a player - and one of the core ones at that - to say it is pretty impactfulwe've been saying this for years in here, unfortunately."I don’t think we do a lot of different stuff to be honest. Maybe Elijah Moore was right in the first place. He has since seemed to check out as a player entirely, but looked really good as a rookie and got frustrated (probably too quickly).yep - but for a player - and one of the core ones at that - to say it is pretty impactfulwe've been saying this for years in here, unfortunately."I don’t think we do a lot of different stuff to be honest. Probably correct but Elijah bad example - hes tanked even in Cleveland.Maybe Elijah Moore was right in the first place. Agreed on Elijah not being the best example - I think he's just not into playing football but the main point about the development of WRs has been a longstanding issue. It's a diva position for the most part and when they're not being developed, many of them just check out.Probably correct but Elijah bad example - hes tanked even in Cleveland.Maybe Elijah Moore was right in the first place. Jets have a history on not developing WRs - Corley is the newest indictment. They crowed about how he was the 4th best WR on their board and would have drafted him in the 2d rd yet he cant beat out an awful Gibson.
Im at the point where i think they are barely getting snaps off because Rodgers is vetoing several of the awful plays from the OC
The Jets don't develop offensive skill players, period. QBs, WRs, TEs, RBs, none of them. We all live in the FF world, think of the last relevant Jets fantasy players that weren't imported as FAs? Pennington? Coles? Breece and GW5 were looking to be the exception to the rule, but now that's in question as well.Maybe Elijah Moore was right in the first place. That makes sense because the Jets always have a defensive coach/staff. The last full on offensive coach they had was Bruce freaking Coslet from 1993! The NFL has been an offensive league for decades and they keep going with defensive coaches. If this thing tanks Id love for them to get the Lions OC Johnson but doubt he would touch this dumpster fire. The Jets don't develop offensive skill players, period. QBs, WRs, TEs, RBs, none of them. If they dont make the playoffs even if Rodgers stays he may sign off on a coaching change - Saleh is a good salesman that got Rodgers here - but I dont think he knew how bad of a HC he was.The players know the coaching is the problem e.g. comments by Rodgers and Wilson this week.
Hackett should be Rodgers's movie buddy, not his OC. I saw a play on third down when all three receivers basically ran into each other. They can't scheme anyone open. Every route is a struggle to get open in this design.
Then you have Saleh who is a charlatan, especially when it comes to the offense. His responses to whatever is asked by the press are terrible. He seems clueless and just spews out general cliches "we'll take a look at it and fix it". Yet it never gets fixed.
Even if we clean house with the coaching staff at the end of the year, who is coming to work for dopey Woody? Woody will just run Saleh out there again in a desperate hope to keep Rodgers around another year.
