2024 Philadelphia Eagles - No way Sirianni makes it through the bye, right? (6 Viewers)

Isaiah Rodgers announced as OUT for tomorrow’s game, with a hand injury. No info yet on what it exactly is or when it happened.

Not ideal.
Wow. That sucks.

It'll be interesting to see if they bring in Avonte in the slot and start Q outside, or start Ringo outside and put Q in the slot.

I think it will be Mitchell and Slay outside in base 3-4 and then for nickel Ringo comes in to go outside with Mitchell going inside.

Word on the street is Damon is the guy to ask about where to find the best cheesesteak! We're staying near Wells Fargo arena this weekend.

For all of you really, we'd love some recs on things nearby. Like where to watch the games on Sunday. Oh, and I guess dinner too (with SNF). Thanks and good luck this year.
Who is Damon?
Some expert in the Eagles thread, supposed to know everything and anything, but to "not take his advice on the actual sports teams there".

That's how they were planning to do it before the injury (but substitute Ringo with Rodgers).

Lol no clue man. Maybe ask one of the guys that are from Philly.

I would post this in the Eagles thread. Deamon will get pissed because ITS NOT EAGLES RELATED but the others will help you out I’d think
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Damn, how predictable that was lol
That post was from last year. And thanks for proving me right 😃

ETA: sorry you mashed the report button
you weren't right about anything, but okay.

And pretty sure that was you.

Welcome back to your fave thread.
I’ve never reported a post here. Or anywhere
How about you?

Well I guess it's time to see what Cooper DeJean has. Not feeling good about our defense in the first few weeks of the year.

We need our bye week soon lol

The mod posted 12 mins after you. While I was out to dinner with my family. Huh…

Have a great season

You’ll be 15 mins away from Santucci’s Pizza on 10th St. They have decent cheesesteaks, but the pizza is really, really, really good. Definitely worth a trip for a lunch or a casual dinner.

But, if you’re dead set on going cheesesteaks, John’s Roast Pork is about 10 minutes away. Consistently in the top tier of cheesesteaks, but get a roast pork with broccoli rabe and cooper sharp to taste/share. One of the best sammiches. ever.
I concur with all of this.

Having a game in Brazil is ridiculous in my opinion. At this point I just want them to play the game and get the hell out of there that night.
Playing a game in a place where they can’t wear their team colors, basically can’t leave the hotel and wildfires are raging all around is ridiculous?
come on now....more dangerous then LA or Northern NJ? Some of our cities make other countries travel advisory lists.
The two aren't remotely comparable. Not even close.

Our company has an office in Sao Paulo, and believe me when I say large parts of that city make Newark look like Rodeo Drive.
Having been to Newark many times that’s quite a visual

For those that are out of the area to watch the game. You can get Peacock free. This was posted in the Eagles subreddit.

Just a heads up.....if you've had a Peacock free trial in the past, associated with your email address, this won't work. Just use a different email if you have one.

Is this only viewable on paid Peacock?
yes and NFL+ premium.
Live? or replay?

NFL+ Premium is only $14.99/month, right? I thought it only gave you the replays after official air time. And the All-22 and Redzone.
the marketing text all say live, though it does qualify "live on mobile" if that means anything. I was going to pay for Peacock for a month since it's cheaper, but just signed up using the thing @Terpman22 posted and it worked for me.

Watch the Packers vs. Eagles game live on your phone with NFL+

If you want to catch today's game live on your phone, check out NFL+. The premium streaming service, starting at $40 per year (or $7 per month), offers access to NFL Network. And yes, that includes games being broadcast out-of-market. To boost your NFL experience even further, you can upgrade to NFL+ Premium with NFL RedZone and watch up to eight NFL games simultaneously.

Thanks, I already signed up for the Instacart/Peacock thing, too.

I am wanting to find a platform that lets me legally watch the Birds every week, without paying $399 PLUS a $70/month subcription fee. YouTube can pound sand with their nonsense. I had it last year, and the service was glitchy, on top of being overpriced. Never again.

NFL+ Premium looks good, and the access to All-22 is a nice bonus. My only issue is I live outside of Philly and would get all 49er and Raider games as locals.

I think you can get 399 through youtube only without the youtubetv sub. Or at least the price was close

Also, didn’t someone in this thread mention that all but like 3 games are national games?

I looked at what NFL+ had on their schedule. The first couple of weeks, the Eagles games won't be carried in my broadcast area (NOS and TBB). After Week 6 or so, the games aren't decided yet which ones are National vs Local.

I think the defense will improve as we go along. Mitchell looked great for his debut game at CB, and...dare I say it?

We have ...an actual NFL caliber LB now? Braun was everywhere and made several nice plays.

Game went about as I expected, high scoring, couple dumb mistakes, let up a few big plays on defense....but also scored a lot and overall played decent

Saqoun looked awesome

Offense is going to be unstoppable once they work the kinks out. Think they can average 30 a game.
They absolutely can. They left a lot on the table in my opinion, though I think the field conditions made it a little more difficult to judge both teams.

Absolutely loved seeing motion before the plays. Last year was a High School playbook. Brown and Smith had to work for everything they got, they both got some easy ones tonight, and that should continue going forward, especially if Barkley's big game is more of what's to come, rather than about GB's defense.

Very dangerous team right now. Hurts was up and down, that endzone INT was an embarrassing decision, but that TD throw to Barkley was one of the best balls of his career. Forget dropping it into a bucket, that dropped into a keyhole. I'm 99.9% confident the snaps/tush push stuff gets ironed out, and those almost unstoppable plays come back too.

Jalen on pace for 36 TDs and 36 Ints
Barkley going to lead a lot of teams to victory with 3 Tds a week = 54 Tds on the year

Hurts had a ton of time, but it still seems like he stands back there like a deer in headlights. He made some really poor decisions like he did at the end of last year. Then he went through some stretches where he looked good and made nice throws...particularly that longer TD toss to A.J. where he looked the defenders off, A.J. knocked Alexander back and then outran him to the endzone.

GB is a good team and it's week 1. That's a good, albeit sloppy, win to build on.
