Dumped the Chargers just now for the Bears D.

Although I like the PIT matchup for LAC on paper, but - its on the road, and should be a relatively “quick” game with both teams running the ball.

Bears however are @IND. ARich should be good for at least a turnover - and then CHI goes LAR, CAR, JAX the next 3 weeks before they have their BYE week.

Feels like a good play.
That's the way I went. Bears are a legit top defense and have good matchups coming up. Can probably set them and forget it until further notice.

Word. Dropped Seahawks for Chicago. Hopefully not streaming for a few weeks.

Roll call: who’s riding the Vikings in hopes of them proving to be a season long hold candidate, even though their matchup is terrible, over better streaming options this week?

I thought about it as a Vikings fan, especially knowing I'm dumping the Seahawks next week either way. But I'm rolling with the Hawks for now... as my opponent started the Jets defense against me last night and I need as much upside as I can get.

Not sure I'll get them via waivers next week, but I'll try. Too early to carry two defense.

I have Houston, GB, and Indy on the wire- really want to get Dallas out of my lineup. Am I overthinking this or should I be sprinting to grab HOU? They’ve looked good so far. But with the juicier matchups on the board and a rough start to the week, might have to swing for the fences.

Such a conundrum this week. Go with the streamer of the week with raiders, chargers, Seahawks, etc, or take a risk on a season long candidate without a great matchup like the Vikings, chiefs, Texans?

I’ve never seen so many dst streaming options before in my years of playing.

Thanks for these. Per the second link Vita Vea is out.

Somebody dropped Chi so I swapped out TB for them. Seattle and MN are also available, but I think I'm going to stick with the Bears so I don't have to bid for them next week. Given their first two games, I think they should be able to handle the Colts (or at least not be the reason I lose this week) and then have a nice schedule until their bye.

Now that the Raiders are facing Andy Dalton and not Bryce Young, considering a pivot. Tempted by the Packers vs Tennessee. Seems like the Packers plan to hand the ball off a million times and not let Malik Willis get them in trouble. Meanwhile, the Titans couldn't stop Breece Hall and Braelon Allen, so it's set up for the Packers to control time of possession, leading Tennessee to have to either 1) have Will Levis throw more, which sounds good for the Packers D chances, or 2) go run heavy too, making this game low-scoring, also great for the D.

Packers were a good play, got 3 turnovers, 8 sacks, a defensive TD, gave up under 250 yards and held the Titans to 14 points. Worth 31 points in my scoring system.

Rough week coming up, all the soft matchups are good teams already taken. Having to decide between DEN vs NYJ, ARI vs WAS, LA Rams vs CHI, or NYG vs DAL. Those are my league's top 4 available by projected score. Might lean Rams but that D hasn't gotten really any points this year.

Minnesota are on my WW. Are they matchup proof? :ponder:
Same.
I’m likely targeting them if I can get them for free.

@ Green Bay

Then

Jets in London which traditionally have been kind of rusty low scoring games. Which favors a defense I would think.

Then bye. Probaly cant carry two defenses unless they just crush it these next two games and seem unstoppable, but they are as good a matchup as any,

The Green Bay game might not put up major points but I still think it’s a strong start for a fundamentally sound defense.

Pick up and hold over Seattle?

Depending on league settings it is wise to hold two defenses. Minnesota right now is 5-6 ppg above replacement. This is worth holding onto ROS

That said the chiefs are flying under the radar this week and have the chargers with a backup qb prolly. Expecting a beat down and top defensive performance

give me Arizona. I can see the commanders having a bit of a let down game and I still don’t think they’re that good. Arizona defense been solid so far. 50.5 over under and Daniels is probably due for an interception or two.

I generally look a month out or so at defenses. Philly plays Tampa this week. Meh. Then a bye. Then Browns at home followed by Giants. A bye and then those two matchups is very favorable.

Minnesota got scooped for some decent FAAB so now I’m looking to pivot to

Houston vs Jax (really only a 1 week play as they have Buffalo next week.

Chicago vs the rams
Then vs Panthers
Then vs jaguars

Nice three game stretch there for the bears on paper.

With the bye weeks coming up, it's a good time to scout teams that may be dropped on their off weeks for sure. After this week the waiver wires will have lots of churn, that's when to set up for a run.

To add to that. In short bench leagues teams like Buffalo and Baltimore get dropped. Because they play each other this week and people are in win now mode mentality.

Hard to roster two defenses, but if you can weather the storm of rostering one against a tough offense this week it could pay off.

Which is my plan to pivot off Houston and go for Buffalo with some FAAB.

Vikings so far have been matchup proof but no one has made the plunge on them. I'm thinking of snagging them before the week is out because they have a really nice stretch from week 8-12. LAR, IND, JAX, TEN, CHI. I'll stash them and if they keep getting 5 sacks a game how can you not play them regardless?

I'm shocked the Vikings are available in any leagues right now.

Yeah. It’s crazy to me how none of us have believed in them enough to roster them. Including me!!! A Vikings fan.

Every ranking always wants to find that primo Goliath Vs Samson matchup and sometimes we overthink it.

I got them in my home league finally, which means they will proceed to **** the bed against Green Bay. Would be very Vikings-like.

I think the packers matchup is still scaring people off. I have the bears otherwise I would have dropped for them already.

Got Bears and Seahawks. Seahawks in Detroit looks daunting but last year when MacDonald was Ravens DC they smashed the Lions 38-6 not sure which way to go now

Agreed. I picked them up and paired them with the Steelers. Had the Browns but was not happy with that effort vs the Giants and Myles Garrett having foot problems isn’t inspiring.

How are people feeling about the Cowboys defense tonight? They have been absolutely horrible the last two games. Was holding onto them to get the game against the Giants but the Giants have looked better and with the Cowboys run defense so bad it may be another brutal game. Was probably dropping them after this game and the Dolphins are out there so may pivot to that matchup.

I grabbed cle last week too and was disappointed, but I am having trouble finding anyone better available than cle vs the raiders. Considering grabbing Miami, I guess.

Pick up and hold over Seattle?
My FFPC redraft team has a solid bench, I just dropped Perine for Minn. DST to pair with Seattle. You know every week you are starting a DST vs hanging on to some roster cloggers that will most likely never provide much.

After last weeks disaster I dropped Dallas D for Minnesota, no looking back

Miami at home against Tenn? I've had Seattle plugged in all year, but moving this direction.
I’m doing this too because I got outbid by a Vikings fan for Minny. Should have trusted my gut and picked them up last week in spite of the bad matchup (over the raiders who ended up getting me -2. Ouch!) Was our last chance to get them for free.

By my count, Tenn has been the most generous team for DSTs out of all 32. If Snoop or whomever can get a few first downs from the great weapons at his disposal, Miami’s D should feast against Tenn like everyone else, right?!

EDIT: Miami might even be a two week hold since they got NE next week, if they show signs of life this week.

So I currently have the Texans home vs Jaguars.
On the WW currently see Dolphins home vs Titans and also Vikings at Packers (and Packers home vs Vikings)

Jaguars were awful last week vs Bills (on Monday night, so traveled early Tuesday morning, and away again this Sunday)

I don't think Miami has a good D, and you can't count on Levis having a bonehead play every week, so I view them as pretty risky.

Long term def prefer Vikings but next week is vs Jets in London then a Bye, so not too crazy about them short term

Short bench so no way I would ever carry 2 DSTs, except maybe the 85 Bears.

Thoughts?
