2025 College Football Thread: Florida State fan not really unhappy that YouTube tv took games away (37 Viewers)

Really good series from Manning. Missed some wide open guys in the first half, but made some good throws that last drive.

Vandy in serious trouble.

Significant winds in Boston and Denbrock comes out passing with zero runs the first series. Surprisingly, not a great series.

Complete buffoonery already. I don’t understand these OCs and what goes on in their heads. Too much “cute” design.

Dabo and Clemson need to move on from one another.

With the openings, I had a friend suggest maybe Dabo rejuvenates at LSU. Not sure how welcome he’d be after these past few years, but him moving on at this point would not be a surprise.

There will be one terrible team at the top of the draft that will take Carson Beck and regret it for years.
Draft Beck and Allar at your own peril.
You know someone will. They're both awful.
Either has Cleveland all over that pick. They’ll use their own pick sensibly and then use the Jags’ pick being cute that they can fix whichever because of potential.
That's actually fitting.

>>Canes lose. The fact we are sitting here on Nov. 1 and they're already a major longshot to make playoffs is immensely disappointing. Mario has clearly upgraded talent, but fact they're 14-14 in conference during his tenure is tough to stomach. SMU 21-2 in last 23 ACC games.<<

A Cristobal timeout snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. And so did Beck's 9th INT of the season. Nice guy, but Ewers tape at Texas looked better. Beck might not get drafted. Kevin Jennings looked better today.

The reason why Kiffin is the first name that comes up for openings is not because he is the best coach but that he has a track record of jumping ship at a moments notice for the slightest advantage for him whether school prestige or money. People know he is a mercenary.
This. I'm not super hyped about all the UF talk. Id almost prefer deion at this point just for the media frenzy.

That said...I just dont know who else. Would UF be kiffens "forever" job? I know we all want that 40 year wonderkind that'll stay 25 years but there isnt one out there. No way UF takes a chance on an up-and-comer right?

I'll puke if they hire Franklin. brohm is at his alma mater. No way Lanning leaves for UF. Gruden already 62. Fan base would explode if they hired Kerwin Bell...he's 60 already. Jesus I'm old.

With so many premier jobs open (regardless which one is "better"), someone not worth it is gonna get paaaaaiiiid.

The latter part is the reason I'd be more than happy with Kiffin if we could pull him.

UF has been stuck in this rut of just hiring the coach from whatever mid-major team happened to have a good record the year before we had a coaching vacancy. But just because you go 11-1 with Louisiana or Colorado State or whatever doesn't mean you're necessarily a good coach or can handle the big leagues. Sometimes it's just that a few of the recruits ended up panning out better than expected, or that you got a few lucky bounces, or just that the other mid majors in that league aren't very good that year (not like it's a murderer's row of a schedule).

Every year some team is going to win the Mid-American conference or CUSA or whatever. Just because they win that at 11-1 or 10-2 doesn't mean you should throw a $50M buyout at them and assume they are some great coach that can contend for championships.

So yeah I'd be more than happy with Kiffin and hope UF is good enough for him to stick around. I just don't want another random dude that no one had heard of 6 months ago and all of the sudden is in consideration because his crappy team got hot at just the right time.

ND sleepwalking coming out of a bye.

Offense with zero semblance of a plan and not committing to the run. Deep passes have been there.

Defense was solid until the final drive of the half. Freeman likes to focus on the middle 8 mins and it’s an L for the first half. Need to regroup at half and commit to the run.

Conference refs hose ND again. Sack on 4th down called a facemask where no facemask was pulled.

Would be turnover on downs but instead a gift inside the 10. ACC refs again

If you have eligibility left and can kick, I’ll bet ND holds open kicker tryout Monday.

Three missed XPs from three separate kickers so far. It’s comical

I'm not sure I've ever seen a defensive coordinator get more tv air rime than the coordinator of Michigan State's 118th ranked defense.
