2025 Philadelphia Eagles - The Denver Collapse (28 Viewers)

No Mike Evans for the Eagles to face as he will be out a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

So our CB2 can get cooked by Jalen McMillan then :P
McMillan still out. Egbuka has been a beast so far.
Oh damn I was not aware

So who is left then? I'm too lazy to look it up but yeah Egbuka is a dude for sure
Egbuka has been great for them, and this past week Sterling Sheppard and Cade Otton had good games.

Jackson has a groin injury and ABC6 reporter early yesterday put out something that Bennett might also miss time (nothing confirming it, no update, no mention of what injury) and they might have to bring Kelee up and activate him this week.

Mac MacWilliams is undersized, but had a good camp. I’d be interested to see what he has.

I’m NFC news as well as Conference: the Whiners (I mean 49ers) lost Nick Bosa for the year do to a torn ACL

Dallas lost Ceedee Lamb with a high ankle sprain sprain for 4-6 weeks. That type of sprain is one of those where if you get it, you wished you broke your ankle clean instead of sprain.

Giants have done well with Cam Skattebo and just reported Jackson Dart their Rookie QB will start this week.

A lot of big names going down with injuries early and some even season ending.

CJGJ back out there as a FA. Texans just released him.

5th time in 7 years he's been released, traded, or let walk in FA. :ponder:

Also, I think this completely negates the trade with Houston. We released (again) Kenyon Green and the Metchie trade already reversed the pick swap from it. We basically cut CJGJ and Houston took the cap hit.
Perfect to pick him back up now right? 😉

It's moot. He can't come back because a traded player has to be on another team's roster for 4 regular season or playoff games before he can return to the team that traded him. Same reason we wouldn't have been able to get Reddick back last year if the Jets got tired of his holdout and cut him or wanted to trade him back to us.

No thanks
You know Jerry loves him some free trash.

He wanted a bigger role and to blitz more (something he’s really good at) and when that didn’t happen he asked to be traded or released. Aaron Wilson reported he was critical of some of his secondary teammates and team and player didn’t seem like a good fit. The Hou secondary wasn’t playing great, missed coverages etc too. He gave up a big play in loss to TB

No idea if Hou even entertained trading him and just released him though. The Texans are 0-3 and a winning team will tolerate that stuff more so then losing teams. Hou has a fairly good front 4 and decent LB but their secondary is highly questionable too.

I want to believe it’s that simple. I heard he’s a horrible teammate his first trip here and I’m certain of it considering the talent and how many teams he’s been on the last few years

Eagles Interest in Sanders was real I believe Deion was ok with either team but I get Shedeur’s thinking here. He wasn’t asking to start right away but didn’t see a path on either of these teams where being starter was in his future.

TRENDING: Deion Sanders accidentally let it out that the #Eagles called Shedeur Sanders on draft day to potentially draft him but the interest was not mutual.

Shedeur did not want to be a long-term backup on the Eagles or Ravens whom both had interest in the quarterback.

I think he’s more of an acquired taste. His teammates and coaches at Florida loved him. NO players hated him because he called the defense soft or the players at least and I think if people watched would agree when he was there they were. I think he fits better on winning teams with good culture like an Eagles, KC in their prime, Buff, Baltimore etc. I was surprised Hou acquired him given how mediocre they are.

You tend to let a guy like CJ have his on a winning team. With bad teams it just gets weird. He’s like manny Ramirez back in the day. Not as good as Manny but manny was always better in a winning environment. When Cle wasn’t winning as much that’s when the antics stopped being tolerated. I don’t think CJ gets is really a guy you need on a bad team. Put him with a winner and he tends to thrive. If Hou was 3-0 or 2-1 I think CJ is still a Texan today. Hou is desperate, Stroud seems to be degreasing as aQB, they didn’t do much to sore up the OL and secondary hasn’t played up to par. Hou even got rid of Diggs in the off-season and then went out and drafted Two WRs, traded Metchie another WR, meanwhile they took one OL in Ersey in the 2nd round after taking a WR, and FA outside of 1 guy signed old past their prime OL. More of putting band aids on problems.

So the move definitely feels like one of those someone’s on the chopping block this week it’s CJ. They’re a desperate team right now

He really made a mistake. He could have got great training with no pressure, learned from a first class organization how to be a pro and then they'd move him for a 2nd in a couple years. Now he's gotta escape the purgatory franchise.

You won’t find more winning between us 2x and the Lions. Everyone gets rid of him 🤷‍♂️
My current lady friend is a relative in some way.....a second cousin, believe. He's always been a bit of an a**hole and not all the family gets along with him. Been pretty ****ty to one of his grandma's, too. Though I think there's a story behind that one that no is divulging to me.

I would actually be surprised if you had an honest conversation with people who really, personally know him and they DIDN’T say he was an a hole.

Yeah, friends at my local Moose lodge who knew him as a kid all say he was a cocky little butthole even back then :)

Yikes, I googled it and saw they had to close one restaurant because CJGJ posted something negative about Kelce and TayTay. Chiefs fans and Swifties bombarded them with 1 star reviews. What a cluster.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles today on the #Eagles tush push. "I'm a fan of creativity. I think if somebody crafts something and they do it well and it's within the rules, it's up to the other side of the ball to stop them, whether it's offensively or defensively. They have something they do very well. I think Buffalo is the only other team that can do that well. If everyone else could do it, everybody would be doing it. So, it's a challenge for all the defensive coaches to try to stop it, and that'll include me."
Very interesting that Bowles said that. But I know only one Eagle's opponent voted in favor of the tush push and it was not Tampa, it was the Lions.

Yeah, that was just after the SB.....regardless of all the flack, they still serve good grub.

If what he's saying is truly how he feels, then ownership got no feedback from him during the vote, it would seem. Or he just wasn't it the loop at all during the decision on how they were going to votd.

Or he was full of crap and just didn't want to look like a whiner when asked about it.

Watching tape breakdowns of the game, it’s pretty clear Landon is battling through injuries. He had some bad snaps Sunday, and hasn’t been 100% yet.

His pre-season injuries were what really sounded the alarm about the Oline depth. I wish the coaches would sit him for a couple weeks to get him healthy, and have him ready for December.

I’m not crazy about Brett Toth playing against Bucs, Broncos, Giants. But he almost can’t be worse than Landon at 40%.

Yeah, I felt bad for her taking all that internet payback for CJGJ being a classless dooosh. Glad she opened another place, and hopefully the Chiefs’ fans and Swifties leave her livelihood alone.

Jordan Davis named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week

You don't see DT's earn this too often

Pretty cool

Also - currently ranked 16th best DT by PFF as well, having a great year
Brandon Graham career arc? 1 st Round pick, labelled as a bust early, goes on to become a Philly Legend? 🤞
Add in "We should have taken this STUD DB instead!" talk as well (Kyle Hamilton here)

It sounded like the Eagles coaches wanted to keep him. He was sent off for money reasons. Stephen Gilmore the former CB called out Hou last night for releasing him. He insinuated that Hou let the veterans go in the DB position to have younger guys they could control. His tweet was something well deserved by Hou, this is what happens when you want young DBs to control and send off your OGs. Essentially saying this is what happens when there’s no veterans around.

Young guys it seems don’t like being held accountable at times. Watching the TB vs Hou MNF game it didn’t even look like they were using him in the right role. He’s a hybrid ball hawk, slot CB, blitz off the edge etc and they purely had him sitting back in coverage. Zero aggression.

Based on what I’ve read from Hou fans and media this sounds like Demeco Ryan’s was called out for accountability and just so happens made a move to make one. If I was in a Texans decision making Role, CJ hurting a young guys feelings isn’t my concerns. I’d be more concerned why my coach isn’t using guys in correct roles, why our GM put a band aid fix on a horrific OL that could’ve gotten my top 5 draft pick QB killed and WTF is that QB regressing every season since his first year?

Remember Hou was suppose to be better than 0-3 and that seat is getting awfully warm for Demeco right now. This smelled like desperation by a coach and GM. If they lose next week who’s the scapegoat? A lot of Hou fans are calling this a reactionary decision from Demeco after reporters questioned his accountability

My starting safety hurting feelings would be my least of concerns. 1 why did we not fix our OL? Yeah we got rid of a few guys and brought in one Rookie OL outside of that no one. Two my top 5 draft picked QB CJ stroud regressed every year since he was a rookie? Hou has done Stroud such a disservice.

Cle is terrible but kevin stefanski is a really well respected HC. Todd McShay during his podcast was looking at QBs and what QBs fit what HC. He put KS in there for Sanders. Browns aren’t a great org but stefanski is highly respected around the league that a lot of teams Ig he chose to go to OC job would have tons of interest.

Deion really though messes the whole thing up. It sounded like Prime thought he had more clout with the league than he did but telling Sheduer how to handle things wasn’t great. I’ve seen several sheduer interviews before the draft and saw nothing wrong. Kay Adams interviewed him at one point while going through workouts and it was a great interview. Why Deion made his kid sabotage that is gonna be a question for yrs in this league. The Sanders boys should’ve hired agents and let Prime be a background guy but Deion had to be the cebter of attention. Trying to relive his glory days through his kids is just selfish.

But to be clear since going to the Browns I haven’t heard anything bad about Sheduer. Training camp always there early one of the last to leave. Stefanski in an interview with his hometown I believe in PA (when Cle came for joint practice) mentioned how well behaved and professional he’s been. We’ll see what happens. It could be a mistake but I get Sheduer’s thinking here being a competitor that he is.

When is Jordan Davis gunna line up at Fullback?
If the tush Push goes away, we get the Smart Fridge.
If the Eagles were smart they’d sign Desmond Watson off TB practice squad. Make him a healthy scratch for one game and following week phantom injury IR for next year. He took a carry in short yardage in Floridas bowl game as the FB and did it was a sight to see in a good way.

People shouldn’t be doing that. You are ruining livelihoods doing that. You don’t go after the family. Look I like Travis and Taylor but Taylor has some really crazy fans like some other celebs etc do who will go after you for the smallest issue. I follow wrestling and WWE isn’t that great anymore but I see a lot of personal attacks from diehards to the point they did anyone who says so and so isn’t good, they make threats to said person and family and Bombard their podcast and business with bad reviews. A bad review should be deserved not because you didn’t like what someone said or you were in the wrong and didn’t get their way.

Some of these “fans” of this stuff cross lines big time.

“The Eagles have placed OLB Nolan Smith, CB Jakorian Bennett and WR Darius Cooper on IR.

My understanding is that these injuries won't require surgery and these players could return around the bye week.”
