2025 Year-end Song Draft - We've Started, join in and pick a song or twenty four (5 Viewers)

I think this one just dropped a few weeks back. Immediately hit my Like list.
SCS 3 - David Guetta, Teddy Swims & Tones And I - Gone Gone Gone

SCS 4 - Pearl Jam - Future Days
On the other hand this one is a bit of a cheat as this song was initially released as the last song from their Lightning Bolt album years ago, but it was re-released this year as part of the Last of Us (Season 2) soundtrack. They also released a new video to go along with the song that only enhances it's sentiment. I played the hell out of this song for a few months after re-discovering it.

I don't keep up with new artists or music, so these threads make me feel old.
I really enjoy that feeling on a Friday morning when an eagerly anticipated album is released — particularly from a young band that has a world of potential. It reminds me of driving to the record store years ago. I just don’t get that when discovering older music for the first time with artists’ careers already defined. It makes the investment worth it for me.

Fittingly, i just saw my Spotify wrapped and my listening age is 20 years older than my age.
My Spotify wrapped this year was ruined a bit by my constant playing of calm relaxing instrumental music in my class all day everyday.
Mine was ruined by my phone at some point apparently streaming The Decemberits for hours on end. They came up as all my top stuff even though I barely listened to them.

My top song was She's Leaving You by MJ Lenderman though.

Round 5:

St. Paul & The Broken Bones - Sitting In The Corner

I have been following this Birmingham, Alabama Neo Soul, Retro Soul band for years. They started out doing a 60's Stax Records Memphis sound, but in recent years they found their own R&B style.

That's awesome. We all listen differently, which is the beauty of these. I used to keep up a little more with newer music, but for whatever reason my pull is more to older stuff I didn't bother listening to at the time. Like the last couple years I will drop in for a couple days to add a couple songs and listen to the playlist to see what I am missing and what you youngsters are listening to. ;)

🙋‍♂️ Me too.
:hifive:

My listening age was only one year older than my actual which is probably 20 years older than yours :bag:

I blame the MADs threads for messing with Wrapped; my selected artists dominated my top five with only Keith Jarrett sneaking in at #3.
Yep, it's been that way for me the last couple years. This year was the first year in 5 years that Opeth wasn't #1. I had PUTS, Opeth, Aimee Mann, Beck, and.... Megadeth. :headbang:
