Hello all, just gathering interest on this league. The league is not scheduled for the startup season until 2024, which is over a year away. I've set it up this way because of two reasons; A: finding 24 quality players in a niche format is tough and I don't want to rush the process, and B: there's a lot to figure out when it comes to the format and rules of the league. I want to take a good amount of time to iron everything out so it's ready to go and not rushed.
That being said, this is just a way for me to gather interest in the league and gauge a little bit what people like and dislike. I'll be sending the actual signup form via email to everyone who reaches out and completes the interest form (not sure when, likely closer to the start of the 2023 season).
Current league details:
24 teams
Contract league: Players will be signed to contracts, introducing features like salary cap management, free agency, and much more to the typical dynasty format.
Offense + IDP (IDP tentative)
All regular season matchups will be triangular matchups: Instead of traditional head-to-head matchups, groups of three will play each week, with the top team in the group receiving a 2-0, middle team a 1-1, and bottom team an 0-2. Playoffs will start with these same triangular matchups, but finish with traditional head-to-head matchups in the last two rounds.
League will be hosted on MFL, but many features, including the aforementioned triangular matchups, will need to be tracked separately on a public Google Sheet page. MFL will be used primarily for setting lineups and recording scores.
