My 1st keeper is McCaffrey.  It's a small league (8 teams).  Can keep up to two players and there is no limit on how many years you can keep a guy.

Lineup rules are unusual - 1 QB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR), 2 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 PK - so you can actually start 0 running backs (!)

15 player rosters.

Protecting McCaffrey with #5 overall, second keeper will replace #12, my 3rd pick will be at #21.

RB/WR scoring - 1 point for each 25 combined rush/receiving yards starting at 50 yards.  1 point for each reception, starting with the 6th.  (i.e. 6 receptions with 58 combined rush/rec yards) = 2 total points.

TE scoring - 1 point for each 25 yards combined rush/receiving.  1 point for each receptions starting with the 6th.  (i.e. 9 receptions for 76 yards = a total of 7 points).

All pass/rush/receving TDs are worth 6 points.

So with McCaffrey in tow already do I gamble on Zeek and then take pollard early (say round 9 even) to cover my bases?

Do  I keep the safer bet Kelce but a guy but may not be proper value?

Gurley is less of a consideration but still in the convo.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Due to the small number of usable players at RB/WR, I'd say keep kelce! Reason being is that TE is really scarce. With the league limits, I'd rank the positions by scarcity, and there are an abundance of WRs you can pick from. As for zeke and gurley, as great as they are... They could run into issues. You can find a second RB for sure, but you won't find a TE like kelce again!

Thanks for the input :)

Just a struggle - this hold-out has turned a no-brainer into much drama.

Last year's draft in this league isn't the best guy (Gronk went 23, Kelce went 25).  There's also 2 new members so I'm not sure what that does.  I have a funny feeling that Gurley might be there at 21.

Funny thing is looking at last year - a "normal" year in the sense that Zeke played 15 games - Kelce finished 1 point ahead of him.

Amazing to think how at the end of the fantasy regular season keeping Zeke and Gurley seemed like a mortal lock.
