I have been offered Johnny Estrada, JJ Hardy and F. Cordero (yes, all Brewers) for Jose Reyes, Broxton and Buck (essentially a 3 for 1 deal).

Estrada would be a major plus for me at C, Cordero would lock up Saves for me with Wagner, FRod and Owens already on the roster, so the key is really Hardy - let's say he keeps up his pace at 75% of what he has done, is that worth it?

Would you make this deal?

No friggin way I give up Reyes for essentially a stud closer and an above average C & SS. Bad bad deal

When you start 2 C everyday, there is a lot to be said for having 2 above average ones. Agreed on Cordero being a stud. Hardy to me is the question mark - being a Brewer fan, I look at him with rose colored glasses...do others think he is capable of keeping up the production?

How will you be doing in steals without Reyes? If you really are thinking hard about this deal, I'd shop around to some other teams in the league and see what closer, catcher, and SS you could get in return. It's possible someone else could up the offer significantly, especially at the chance to get Reyes.

Agreed. The guy is trying to pass one over on you by giving you 3 Brewers.

Put it this way. Would you accept that offer if you were trading away Pujols or ARod instead of Reyes? That is how much (basically) Reyes is worth.

Doubt he'll take it, but I think that is a much better deal...
