I know - everyone has one. I do it for fun and for the puzzle. I appreciate anyone who makes an effort and appreciate anyone who takes the time to read.
Round 1 Kansas City (2-14) - Luke Joeckel OT - With Albert on a one year Franchise deal and Winston not resigned, Joeckel is a safe and easy pick for KC to make. Jacksonville (2-14) - Geno Smith QB - I just cannot see Jacksonville going another year without addressing the QB position. They are 5-19 with Gabbert. Everyone knows that as long as Gabbert is behind center the Jags have zero chance. Oakland (4-12) - Star Lotulelei DT, The Raiders need to stop the Run. With Geno Smith off the board, the pick should be on the DL. I think that Lotulelei is a better player than Floyd, and if you are looking for a monster in the trenches, Star is the best of the bunch. Philadelphia (4-12) - Dion Jordan OLB - Switching to a 3-4 is the first sign that they need an impact pass rusher. Jordan is still raw and already the best 3-4 linebacker in this class. At 6ft 7 he is going to be a guy defenses always have to keep their eye on. Kelly is very familiar with him and as he has shown by signing Dixon and Chung, he likes familiarity. Detroit (4-12) - Eric Fisher OT - I think this is a perfect situation for Detroit. No needs at DT, Reiff can move inside or to RT, and they get to protect their franchise QB. Cleveland (5-11) - Shariff Floyd DT - Not expecting Floyd to be here, the Browns have not been linked to him. Should he be however, combining him with Paul Kruger and Jabal Sheard, would give the Browns a pass rush worth talking about. Arizona (5-11) - Chance Warmack, OG - The Cards get a sure fire stud here and whoever is the QB needs to have a pocket to step into if they want to deliver the ball. Warmack will help the run game a ton, which helps the playaction game which helps LFitz. Best player available, I think Warmack is the guy here. Buffalo (6-10) - Dee Milliner CB - Even though they used last years #10 pick on Stephon Gilmore, having a pair of lockdown corners is a great problem to have. Both Gilmore and Milliner can tackle and cover which will allow the defense to take some chances on blitzes. New York Jets (6-10) - WR Tavon Austin - The Jets need a blur on offense. Austin would be the guy who lines up all over the field like Randall Cobb or to a degree Percy Harvin. Get him the ball in space and see what he can do. The jets dont have playmakers on offense, and that really limits what they are able to do and puts all of the pressure on Sanchez all of the time. A guy like Austin is something the Jets have lacked for years. Tennessee (6-10) - Johnathan Cooper OG - Even with the Levitre signing, Tennessee still needs to generate a push up front if they want to be a run first team. Coopers ability to play some center can only be seen as a good thing for the titans. San Diego (7-9) - Lane Johnson OT - After releasing Gaither, I think Lane Johnson is an easy pick here. Johnson will be protecting Rivers blind side for the rest of Rivers career. Miami (7-9) - Xavier Rhodes*, CB - Huge hole at CB, might look at a tackle here. After losing Sean Smith, the pick has to be Xavier Rhodes who has the size to step right in and play from day one. Tampa Bay (7-9) - - Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB - I cannot see the Jets trading for Revis. Price is too high for a older CB. I think that Mingo should play a similar role to Von Miller for the Bucs - bringing the heat off the edge. I am bothered by his lack of production - 15 sacks over 3 years, but he does fit the bill of a dominating pass rusher at the next level. Carolina (7-9) - Sheldon Richardson, DT - Richardson is a top 6 talent but because of his age, there is no time to wait for him to produce. Carolina will be able to look past the fact that he will be 25 his rookie year and get themselves a player who will significantly help out in all aspects on the defensive side of the ball. New Orleans (7-9) - Jarvis Jones OLB - Saints defense was disgusting, and they need help at every position. Switching to a 3-4 and getting a guy who at one time I thought was going to be the first pick overall is a huge boost for the team. You cannot run a 3-4 without a pass rushing linebacker. I think if you put Jones and Martez Wilson at the OLB spots, the Saints are set. St. Louis (7-8-1) - Matt Elam, S - I think Elam is the best safety in this class. The Rams Defense is a safety away from being a finished product, and perhaps the best defense in the league, so when the opportunity presents itself to get the best one in the class, I think they have to pounce on it. Pittsburgh (8-8) - Eddie Lacy RB - With Big Ben alone, the Steelers are a .500 team. If he can get some help, which a back like Lacy would be sure to do, I think the Steelers would find themselves back in the playoffs. Dallas (8-8) - Ezekiel Ansah, DE - Dallas making the transition to the 4-3 - Ware on one side and Ansah on the other - you can be sure that the Cowboys Defensive line will generate more than the 8 sacks they did last year. New York Giants (9-7) - Desmond Trufant CB - Giants have a big need here, and finding a corner to build wiht opposite Prince should be a priority. At this point Trufant might also fit into the BPA category. Chicago (10-6) - DJ Fluker OT - I think that protecting Cutler and opening holes for Forte are two things that Fluker could do better than anything the Bears have right now. Corderelle Patterson is a tempting pick here as well. Cincinnati* (10-6) - Kenny Vacarro S - Safety has been an issue in Cincinatti for too long. St. Louis - from Washington* (10-6) - Cordarelle Patterson WR - Sam Bradford finally gets his elite talent. Top end speed and great explosiveness and size, Cordarrelle Patterson will be picked by the Rams here if available. Minnesota* (10-6) - DeAndre Hopkins WR - Ponder needs more than just Greg Jennings and Kyle Rudolph to succeed. The Vikings need a guy who can stretch the field and is going to go out and compete for the ball. Filling the hole that they left when they traded Percy Harvin this draft pick would give Minnesota all the weapons they need. Indianapolis* (11-5) - S Jonathan Cyprien - Colts dont have too many needs to fill and Landry and Bethea form a decent veteran duo in the back end of the secondary. The Colts are going to need some youth at the position, and it is a perfect situation for a small school prospect like Cyprien to come in and learn from two veterans at a pace comfortable for the coaching staff. Minnesota - from Seattle* (11-5) - Jonathan Jenkins, DT - Jenkins reminds me of the old Pat Williams, and would be a great addition on that DL next to Kevin Williams. He isnt going to get alot of sacks from the interior, but as a run stuffer, could be the best in the draft. Green Bay* (11-5) - Alex Ogletree OLB/ILB - I think the Packers have a strong enough locker room that they would be able to look past the possible character concerns that Ogletree would bring. Ogletree would be brought in to stop Adrian Peterson first and foremost. Packers linebackers are desperate for an injection of talent like Ogletree brings. Ogletree I think will be best at OLB, where he could compete wiht Nick Perry, but would also be effective in the middle and would compete with AJ Hawk. Houston* (12-4) - Robert Woods WR - Robert Woods is an elite WR, and adding him to work opposite Andre Johnson woudl give the Texans the #2 WR which they have lacked for years. In case of an Andre Johnson injury, Woods would be able to step his game up a bit and fill in somewhat. Coming out of this draft with a WR in round one I think is critical for the Texans. Denver* (13-3) - Bjoern Werner DE - With the Dumerville departure, Werner would be asked to step right in and provide some pass rush. Already an excellent run defender and super high effort guy, Werner and Ayers would team up to be at least a formidable duo. New England* (12-4) - Brandon Williams DT - I like Brandon Williams here, and think he fits what the Patriots need most, which is an interior pass rusher. Brandon Williams will be a first round pick, and might not even be available at this point. Atlanta* (13-3) - Kevin Minter ILB - I think the biggest hole the Falcons have remaining is ILB. I am not sure Akeem Dent is the answer. Minter would form a dominating tandem with Sean Weatherspoon and would instantly play a major role on a team shooting for the Superbowl in 2013. San Francisco* (11-4-1) - Johnthan Banks, CB - Chris Culliver cannot be welcomed back to SF after his comments about alternative living in the locker room. If that isnt the tipping point, then how about his horrible performance in the biggest game of his life. Banks would be a great addition to the SF team, and should be able to help out right away. *note not changing pick after Namdi signing. Baltimore* (10-6) - Keenan Allen WR - Allen has questionmarks on his health which is really the only reason he is still avaialble at this point. Could be a true #1 WR, he would be able to step in and fill Anquan Boldins shoes immediately and give the 20 million dollar man another young target on offense. Round 2 Jacksonville (2-14) -Justin Hunter WR - This is a situation that the Jags can afford to go best talent available. Even with Shorts and Blackmon at WR, the depth behind these guys does not exist. Hunter would be an elite playmaker and give Geno Smith another weapon to work with. A team like Jacksonville needs to start by building an identity, and if they draft Hunter and Geno Smith, offensively they should have the talent to compete with anyone. San Francisco - from Kansas City (2-14) - Margus Hunt, DE - Great fit as a 3-4 defensive end, and on some passing downs they could even bring him off the edge opposite Aldon Smith. Philadelphia (4-12) - Datone Jones, DE - After addressing OLB in the top of round one, the Eagles get right back to work on that 3-4 defense and draft a defensive end in Datone Jones. Detroit (4-12) - Jamar Taylor CB - Taylor should be a very dependable CB in the NFL. He tackles well, can play both Man and Zone equally well, he has excellent speed and good size, and good ball skills. Cincinnati - from Oakland (4-12) - Menelik Watson OT - Watson should be able to step in at RT and down the road could very likely develop into an even better player than the guy he replaces in Andre Smith. Arizona (5-11) - Terron Armstead OT - Armstead is another raw tackle, but looked great in post season activity and should have shot up to the top of the second round. At worst he creates good competition at the Tackle spots in Arizona, but I think its more likley that he pushes for a starting job at RT out of the gates. Cleveland (5-11) - Logan Ryan CB - Cleveland needs a playmaker besides Trent Richardson but they are not going to find it here. Instead hey go with the best CB available in Logan Ryan and find themselves a very solid player opposite Joe Haden. New York Jets (6-10) - Kawann Short, DT - Aggressive and fights for everything, the type of player who could bring some attitude back to the Jets. Tennessee (6-10) - Zach Ertz, TE - Titans should aim to replace Jered Cook. I think that Ertz is the top TE in this class, especially to a team who values run blocking - Which I think is a focus of the titans in 2013. Buffalo (6-10) - Ryan Nassib, QB - I think that Buffalo, knowing they have to put fans in the seats and try to find a QB to carve out a future wiht decides to go with the local product who is already so familiar with Doug Maronne. If Nassib is available here, he will be the pick. Miami (7-9) - Damontre Moore, DE - I like Moore here, who would probably line up opposite Wake and bump Odrick inside for the Dolphins 4-3 allignment. I think Odrick inside of a 4-3 would be a stud. Tampa Bay (7-9) - Alex Okafor, DE - Tampa has to acquire another pass rusher early in the draft and Okafor is a first round talent. Carolina (7-9)- Johnathan Hankins, DT - Outstanding run stuffer who can offer some pass rush up the middle. The Panthers run defense was just horrible last year. They also need to address CB but if Hankins were available, they would have no issues coming out with 2 stud DTs. New Orleans (7-9) - Jessie Williams DT - With the Saints still looking to fill out their 3-4 defense for Rob Ryan, giving him a big anchor like Jessie Williams is always a solid fill. San Diego (7-9) - Larry Warford, G - San Diego needs more help in the trenches on Offense. Warford is a first round talent but I dont see three first round guards. St. Louis (7-8-1) - Kyle Long, OT/OG - I really wanted to avoid saying that it would be Chris Longs brother going here, but it just happens to fall that way. Rams need a RT in my opinion and I think that Long would be a great fit here. Dallas (8-8) - Travis Frederick, C/G - Dallas needs a Center and/or Guard - so drafting Frederick the Cowboys would be protecting themselves at both positions. Pittsburgh (8-8) - Kiko Alonso, ILB - Steelers have a need at ILB and Alonso has been rising up draft boards. New York Giants (9-7) - Tank Carradine, DE - Giants love their DE, and after letting Osi go, Giants look to restock a little bit here. Chicago (10-6) - Arthur Brown, LB - Should be able to replace Urlacher and actually perform better than Urlacher did last year. Washington* (10-6) - Eric Reed S - Redskins are in desperate need of at least one safety, and I think Reed would be a solid player his rookie season. Minnesota* (10-6) - Matt Barkley QB - I think that after giving Ponder weapons, the next best thing they can do is provide him with some competition. Cincinnati* (10-6) - Johnathan Franklin, RB - Green Ellis was effective, but they could be much better on the ground in Cinci. Franklin is a 3 down back and would be a great backup to start and slowly work his way into the main cog of the running game in Cincinatti. Miami - from Indianapolis* (11-5) - Brennan Williams, OT - Jake Long is gone and Johnathan Martin will be the LT in Miami, so they need to find a bookend on the right side to protect the Franchise QB. Brennan Williams is an NFL ready Tackle as long as he can stay healthy. Green Bay* (11-5) - Le'Veon Bell, RB - Packers still have a need at RB, Ted Thompson has not done a great job of addressing this position as of late. Harris was a great find, but the Packers need a guy who is tough between the tackles. With defenses focused on Rodgers and the Passing attack, its exciting to think what Bell could do. Seattle* (11-5) - Barrett Jones, C/G/T - Seattle is without a first round pick and I think that they need to come out of this draft having addressed Right Tackle. I am not positive Jones will be able to play RT in the NFL, but I do think that with his ability to play multiple positions, the Seahawks would be able to move some pieces to find themselves a RT already on the roster. Houston* (12-4) - Sylvester Williams, DT - I dont think that Houston is in love with Terrance Cody. Denver* (13-3) - Darius Slay, CB - Denver needs to look into finding a replacement for Champ and adding some young talent to the secondary. New England* (12-4) - Denard Robinson, WR - I think Denard Robinson is exactly the player that the Patriots are looking for. Going to be able to line up all over the field (like Randall Cobb) and read the defense as a former QB - to find open space. He would add an element to the NE offense that teams would not know how to counter. Atlanta* (13-3) - Marcus Lattimore RB - Atlanta, with the signing of Steven Jackson will have the luxury to take their time with Lattimore and allow him to develop. Jackson has another year or 2 left, but Lattimores upside and the fact that Atlanta was so active filling holes in Free Agency makes him worth investing in. San Francisco* (11-4-1) - Tyler Eifert, TE - If Eifert is here, the 49ers would scoop him up in a heartbeat. Baltimore* (10-6) - Khaseem Greene LB - I think that Greene would be able to play any LB position on the field. Fast, Talented, Smart.....Put him in the middle and he can take over for the player who he has tried to model his game after. Round 3 Kansas City (2-14) - William Gholston, DE - Big body - would fill in nice as a 3-4 DE. Needs to find a coaching staff who can get it out of him. Jacksonville (2-14) - Justin Pugh, OT/G - Hopefully Pugh can play the RT position in Jacksonville. I dont know how much I buy into the short arm arguement - worst case is he is forced to move inside, but I think they need to let him try to protect the QB. Detroit (4-12) - Corey Lemonier, DE - Lions need a DE who can get to the passer. I think Lemonier is that kind of guy, showed good speed at the combine. Oakland (4-12) - Da'Rick Rogers, WR - Raider kind of player. Explosive. Could be the best WR in the draft if he gets some good coaching and some good mentoring. At this point someone has to take a chance. Philadelphia (4-12) - EJ Manual QB - Lots of physical tools and lots of upside, but lots of work to do in order to get this kid ready to play in the NFL. Cleveland (5-11) - Manti Te'o - I think that Te'o is a bargain at this point in the draft as it is, and now you combine that with fact that the Browns need another 3-4 MLB to play along side D'Qwell Jackson, and he fills a need. Arizona (5-11) - Jamie Collins, OLB - Collins looks like the real deal when you look at his combine #s. Cards would like ot add an OLB to push the starters and/or rotate. Tennessee (6-10) - Vance McDonald, TE - Titans will double dip at the TE position this year. McDonald is another playmaker that can also block. As the Patriots and 49ers have shown, there is nothing wrong with having 2 excellent TEs. With an inaccurate QB a pair of Big TEs is huge. Buffalo (6-10) - Terrance Williams, WR - He looked horrible at the combine and senior bowl. To me that shows lack of confidence. The game tape shows a special and elite talent. I think Buffalo is the perfect place for him to come in and let his talent do the talking without the pressures of heavy Media. New York Jets (6-10) - Giovanni Bernard RB - Even with the signing of Goodson, Bernard would be a big addition. Tampa Bay (7-9) - David Amerson, CB - Tampa bay still needs help in that secondary. Amerson would be a great fit in the Tampa system. San Francisco - from Carolina (7-9) - Bacarri Rambo, S - Gholson is gone and SF will like to find another talented Safety who will come in and compete. New Orleans (7-9) - Phillip Thomas, S - Fantasy players take note - I think that the Saints would love to replace Harper with a Safety who wont get burned deep on a consistant basis. San Diego (7-9) - Quinton Patton, WR - Patton might be the most underrated WR in this draft. The Chargers NEED a WR, with nobody on the roster coming close to 1000 yards. Patton to me is an NFL ready WR. Miami (7-9) - Montee Ball RB - I think the Dolphins have to protect themselves in case Lamar Miller doesnt pan out. Daniel Thomas is a bust. Montee Ball is the type of Back that would be able to carry the load if called upon. St. Louis (7-8-1) - Robert Alford, CB - Bradley Fletcher is gone - Janoris Jenkins appears to be the real deal and now the Rams fill in the other side wiht Robert Alford. Pittsburgh (8-8) - Markus Wheaton, WR - Markus Wheaton would provide the steelers with a deep threat and another effective offensive weapon for Big Ben. Dallas (8-8) - Bennie Logan, DT - With the Cowboys transitioning to a 4-3 - Bennie Logan would be a solid fit. New York Giants (9-7) - Jonathan Bostic, ILB - Giants Linebackers are weak, Bostic is an athletic guy who should be a fixture in the middle for years to come. Miami - from Chicago (10-6) - Dallas Thomas RT - Johnathan Martin will move to the Left side and Dallas Thomas has the skills to start on the right side from Day one. Minnesota* (10-6) - Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB - Hes been playing great football for 2 years in a row - should for sure be able to come in and help out as a rookie wiht much more upside down the road. Cincinnati* (10-6) - Trevardo Williams, OLB - Probably would project as a WOLB. Really blew up at the combine and Marvin Lewis would find a spot for him in the lineup. Washington* (10-6) - Jordan Poyer, CB - Great athlete - Love his big play ability, Washington has to address the Defensive backfield. Indianapolis* (11-5) - Montori Hughes, DE - I think that Hughes is going to end up being a steal in the draft and has the talent to play as a huge 3-4 DE. Seattle* (11-5) - David Bakhtiari, OT - I think Seattle will double dip on the offensive line with their first 2 picks in 2013. Bakhtiari has alot of game experience, and that should help him find a role as a rookie. Green Bay* (11-5) - Jordan Reed TE - Extremely talented but undersized Reed would be drafted to take over for Finley after the season and to contribute this year as a playmaker who can line up in different areas of the field. Houston* (12-4) - Sio Moore, LB - Moore has the skills and physicality to be able to play next to Cushing in the middle of the Texans 3-4. Denver* (13-3) - Stepfan Taylor, RB - Taylor would be a great running back for Denver. He can do it all, is great in pass protection, catches the ball well and runs well. Doesnt have great speed, but the other weapons in the Denver offense would cover that up pretty well. New England* (12-4) - Kenny Stills, WR - Could be a big time player, but I think the character questions really are valid. The New England locker room would seem to be an ideal place for Stills - where he could develop into a star. I think that Denard Robinson and Stills keep the Patriots stockpiled wiht playmakers well into the future. Atlanta* (13-3) - Sam Montgomery DE - Not sure Osi is a 3 down player anymore, and Mongomery can definately defend the run well and has the potential to develop into a pass rusher down the line. San Francisco* (11-4-1) - Caleb Sturgis, K - Bottom line, its a hole. He is the best at the position. Baltimore* (10-6) - DJ Swearinger - With Reed and Pollard gone, and Huff brought in - they could use a hitter back there due to Huff being someone "soft" for the position. Swearinger is a great fit. Houston (compensatory) - Mike Glennon, QB - While I dont think he would push Schuab, I do think that he would be a really good backup in Houston. Kansas City (compensatory) - Tyler Bray*, QB - Not going to push Alex Smith, but should the Smith experiment not work out, KC will have addressed the position for the future. Tennessee (compensatory) - Alvin Bailey*, OT/G - Raw and lots to learn, the Titans have to build depth in the center of that offensive line, because Chris JOhnson had nowhere to go last season.
