12 team superflex. My qbs have byes week 9 and 14. I drafted Darnold for the byes, but that seems to be a waste of my 5 man bench. I think I know the answer but would like some opinions. Thanks.

Only 5 bench is super tight with it being SF. How many teams drafted and roster/hold back-ups? I play in one redraft PPR (not SF) that have only 5 bench spots. It is extremely tight and challenging to manage that roster and waivers each week. I find that there are lots of decent players get tossed back because people just can't hold/horde them especially during bye weeks and they need to pick someone up.
I would assume even with 5 bench spots though QBs are tight and not much available on waivers. Only you know the league and what the chances of finding a QB off waivers during the bye weeks.
I would probably hold Darnold not knowing what is or might be available.
The other option is, what are the chances you can find another Flex taht could put up 15-18pts for the bye weeks? Not sure what the rest of your roster is like but it can be tough sometimes to find equal points that isn't QB.

Drop now if there is a player out there you need/want and just stream when someone gets dropped injured etc… the bus are not for a long time so you have time.
Keep if there is nothing else out there you want or if he is by far the best QB option you have. OR if either of you QBs tend to get hurt so he’d be playing sooner than week 9.
Basically my thought is keep him until there is something better.
