An eyewitness reportedly saw the accident and followed Culliver's vehicle until he cornered him and attempted to block it from leaving. Police said Culliver left his car and threatened the witness with the brass knuckles, and then fled again in the car. He then struck the witness' car.
Brass knuckles? Really?

Culliver is also facing weapons-possession charges. Police say he had illegal brass knuckles in his possession.
Brass knuckles are illegal?

In California, brass knuckles are illegal weapons, and anyone carrying or possessing them can face up to a year in prison. Manufacturers are not allowed to sell or trade brass knuckles either.

It is illegal to own and carry Brass Knuckles in the following states: California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois and New York State

He is not blemish-free after last years social commentary debacle. Now this... drafting high for secondary is now that much more important.

I completely forgot what he said, went back and read the old articles. This guy seems like a bad guy all around.
This kind of stuff happens every year in the NFL across the league, but franchises really don't want the PR mess associated with it. He's a middling talent and not worth the headache.

Does anyone know how behavioral issues impact a franchise's ability to cut ties with a player without being hurt financially? Or is it directly tied to contract details specific to that player? I remember with Hernandez there was money lost even with him heading off to the clink.

Not as bad as being pulled over with $30k in cash and lots of illegal prescription drugs stuffed in a briefcase and a laundry bag along with the money. Now if he had done something like that, what would you think the outcome might be?

Depends on whether you're a player or an owner.
