49ers will win 13 games. I GUARANTEE IT! (1 Viewer)

After the Super Bowl the Cardinals are touted as extremely weak, yadda, yadda, yadda. Now everyone is touting them as a team to beat. Hello, the Cardinals lost 7 games last season. The 49ers squeaking one out is no biggie.
Yeah that definitely invalidates being one defensive stop away from winning the Super Bowl.
;) They were one defensive stop away from not even playing in the Superbowl.

What do the Bears have to do with this thread
None at all. Just an uncalled for jab for saying we'd lose. My bad. :PSeriously I think we win 9 or 10 games and compete with SEA and ARI for the NFC West.
If we win 10 games there there won't be any need to compete. It pretty much locks the NFC west.

The Bay Area has some of the highest education levels in the country, but for some reason Niner fans seem to be among the stupidest.
:goodposting: Can't refrain from being a dbag in a 49er thread, can you....

With a username like furleybaby and an outlandish prediction, I think pretty much everyone that responded here seriously in this thread was in fact caught being fished.

Fixed.
Raider fans have their issues, but I guarantee you won't see any of them predicting 13 wins this year.
Having attended the Raider game monday night, I assure you that Raider fans take the cake in the low IQ department. I liken being a fan of an organization like the Raiders to repeatedly bashing your head against a wall and not expecting it to hurt the next time.49ers will win 10 games tops. Singletary already looks like a very good coach, but they don't have the talent on the offensive line to have the success they want running the ball. I'm also not convinced that they suddenly have a pass rush after just 1 game. I hope to be pleasantly surprised in that department.

They need to do more play action. I mean whats the point of running the ball 60% of the time when you don't do any play actions for pass plays. It annoys the hell out of me. And run a damn screen damnit.

The 49ers were great this week so ima let you finish but the Seahawks are the best team of all time in that division

I never thought I would see a thread like this in The Shark Pool.

49ers Webzone? Sure.

Way to go, Ninerfan.

Most of you need to realize, we have medical marijuana here in Cali.................there are obviously some Niner fans whose prescriptions are refilled regularly.

In that division, an 8 win season might do the trick for the Niners. They definitely have the potential and I'm a big fan of theirs.

So while we are throwing the first game out the window and being crazy I present to you current league stats....

RB: Julius Jones # 3 RB, Gore # 37

QB: Hasselbeck #8, Hill # 16

Offense: Seattle # 6, SF #29

Defense: Seattle # 8, SF #15

Seattle wins in your house by double digits.

In reality, Seattle wins the NFC West this year, SF finishes third.

Too bad you don't get to play the Rams every week.

13 Dec 06 SF @ SEA LOSS

14 Dec 14 ARI @ SF win

15 Dec 20 SF @ PHI LOSS

16 Dec 27 DET @ SF win

17 Jan 03 SF @ STL win

Looks like 6-10 to me...but a nice end to the season with back to back wins! :)

This is going to be an interesting game this week for sure.

On the one hand I am already on the record as saying that the 49ers offense is going to stink this year and after one week I stand by that.

But Singletary has that defense playing some hard nosed football and they may be a team like TB last year that just finds a way to win about 9 games.

I don't buy for a second that the Seahawks offense is as good as they looked last week, the Rams really may flirt with 0-16. The Hawks OL is still hurting and they will have a problem running this week and protecting Hasslebeck. But Hasslebeck is healthy and looks good and Carlson is a really good young TE.

My prediction is this is going to be a low scoring ugly game this week with both defenses in control. Could go either way but whoever wins may win the division this year.

Six wins plus two tossups -- call it 7-9.

Please, please don't turn this place into the 49erswebzone. For the most part people have interesting and half intelligent discussions on football...the 49erswebzone is a den of homerism and stupidity.

This is more the soft NFC west schedule than it is 49ers return to glory. But, I like them, they will win more games than in recent years and could get to 9 and even 10 if they keep improving. But there are two glaring problems; 1) They dont have an impressive pass rusher other than Justin Smith at DE 2) They don't have a down the field passing game, so if they get down by 12 ore more points, they could really be in trouble.

WOOOOHOOOO!! 2-0!!

Gore was awesome. Secondary did a good job keeping everything in front of them. Played relatively soft at times, but overall a good job. Pass rush wasn't as impressive as it was vs the cardinals. Matt M. usually give a break down of how many times the 49ers blitzed, it has to be under 10, i'll report what he comes up with. I'm not sure if they are going to get away with that vs the vikes. If you put pressure on brett, he'll throw picks.

I haven't looked at the numbers but, I don't think gore will have 200yrds vs the vikes rushing def.. Shaun Hill will definitely have to throw the ball at least 25 times vs the vikes for us to have a chance to win the game. Jimmie Raye needs to call more playaction. The 49ers basically run the same run formation and the defense knows when a run is coming. Do the same formation and call a playaction. Hit Morgan or VD downfield.

Just need to do a better job on the playcalling.

Hey Homer,Let's see how they do against the 'Hawks first, ok? Did you see the 49's rushing stats last week? Not too impressive. And beating the defending NFC champs? Please, the Cardinals are an empty shell of themselves from last year. I say the 49'rs finish ahead of the Cards and Rams, but not ahead of the Hawks. Sorry, down the road I could see it, but not for a couple more years. I like your enthusiam though.

The 49ers are about to crush the rest of the NFC. They play in a weak division, they just dominated the defending NFC champ....ON THE ROAD. Shaun Hill is putting it together, and will likely be a Pro Bowler this season. I talked to my BIL, who is good friends with a personal trainer who said Crabtree is working with and getting advice from Jerry Rice and is likely to sign soon! The "supposed" favorites in the NFC will overlook the 49ers this year. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WILL BE!!! Issac Bruce has a career 24.6 ypc in Candlestick, 35 career TDs, the guy simply loves playing in that stadium. Team Captain Veron Davis is making the leap, and will finish the year as the best TE in football. Patrick Willis is the best LB in the game, in the past 35 years.DOMINATION.
How about that Niner rushing offense? ;)
