4pm PPR start: pick RB Charbonnet or Mason (1 Viewer)

In a standard PPR league, I have to choose between Charbonnet and Mason. My opponent will only have a DEF left at 4pm, so I should know where I stand. I like Mason and his matchup.

If my matchup is projected to be close at 4pm, would you start Zach?
If I am projected to need big points would you go Mason?

For me I would go with Mason unless we hear that Walker is still dealing with being banged up.

My reasoning is believe Mason will have a more defined role and be the goal line back and last year when Walker was healthy, Charbonnet’s role was reduced considerably. However, bc of a strong summer there has been ruminations of more of a split between the two in Sea.

Overall, I lean to Mason because they signed him for a clearly defined propose and I think Minn will lean on the run game to protect McCarthy at least early in the season and last year’s track record when Walker was healthy. Hope this helps and good luck!

This is a great question and breakdown @ultraviolet, we have Charbonnet slightly ahead in our PPR rankings, but he is a floor play. Barring an injury to Walker, his role is the backup. Mason could win that job or at least be in a 50/50 split and offer more upside this week. If you are down, the pivot to Mason makes sense
