5 best things about the Shark Pool (1 Viewer)

Bankerguy

Footballguy
1) Player profile threads - Jason Wood. Hands down the best thing that happens on this board.

2) The improvement of title descriptions. Accuracy is cool.

3) The Offseason discussions-there is just less noise and trolls.

4) Bumping old threads...I like reading the old threads to see who knew what they were talking about. It's great when other posters(I'll keep their names a secret) get busted on lies etc.

5) The wealth of quality posters here. I'll come back later to name a few.

Oh...and I like the NFL logo additions.

Let's here what you like.

I think mine was first. Whatever though.
Sorry, its Friday, work is empty and I'm bored.Didn't even realize your's was serious :banned: I do disagree about the "Player Profile threads". IMO they clutter the pool when looking for other information. I'm in the camp that they should have their own forum. I also don't like the content in them since it tends to be a bunch of guys guessing at projections and talking out their ###. Not really worth my time to filter through 100 posts to find the 5-10 posters who I think actually know what they are talking about.

I guess it depends on your mind set going into those threads. For any players outside of Dallas players I have a pretty open mind. I enjoy hearing other thoughts and observations on situation, change in offensive strategy for the team..etc etc. Basically the stuff I might not know about a Seattle player or a team I don't really know tons about. Projections are fun to look at and I take with a grain of salt. With all things here the key is to figure out who is legit and who is just talking out of their butts.

I enjoy the Player Spotlight threads immensely, but I do agree that someone posting 1200/250/10 is useless.

Overall I simply enjoy that during the times when a vast majority of folks are not talking NFL, FBG always is. There are some pretty funny people on here too.

I'm guilty of this from time to time. However, the only times I do it is when it is a player and topic that I've gone to great length discussing in other threads prior to the spotlight thread. The threads calculate the "Shark Pools" projection by averaging out stats given so a lot of times people see that as their way of being heard IMO.

But if a player generates 40 responses, your statisitical input counts for 2.5% of the calculation. I guess everyone has their reasons, I just know that when I'm reading a PS thread I enjoy reading the rationale behind someones analysis of said player regardless of whether I agree with it or not. And while some posters may have spoken ad nauseum about a certain player in other threads, the PS threads to me are THE destination point to get the Pool's view on said player. Easily searchable and succinct.

While it sounds like you want them out because you don't like them, I want a separate forum because I like them a lot. I like that everyone here is an expert.

1-Not true, I don't like sifting through 2 or 3 pages of sharkpool posts for threads that aren't player profiles. I also realize that other people like them, I just think they could be consolidated in a different area.2- Not experts, sharks ;)
