5 Man Keeper Startup League $50 - Looking for owners (1 Viewer)

Hi,

We are starting over in a 5 man keeper league (1 at each position). League fee is $50. We currently have 8 spots available. All funds are held in LeagueSafe and the league (http://www11.myfantasyleague.com/2015/home/35881#0) is hosted on MFL. We are looking for owners who will stay with the league long term. We will have the live draft next Sunday at 7pm EST. Please refer to the MFL link above for full rules.

Thanks,

Matt

It won't allow me access to the rules. I see 12 teams are signed up. How many teams are your shooting for?

It was copied from last year and is now corrected. Sorry for the confusion. I've also pasted the rules below:

This is a Five Star Keeper League that starts: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 Kicker, 1 Team Defense (10 Total). There are 20 roster spots with no IR spots.

1. KEEPERS: Each team will select one player from five of the following six categories to keep each year: QB, RB, WR, TE, Kicker, or Team Defense . Owners can only keep one player from each group to foster availibility of key players in skill positions.

Keepers will be declared at least one week before the rookie/veteran draft on Message board topic started by commish.

2. INITIAL DRAFT: will be a SLOW, serpentine-style draft. We will draft all 20 rounds.

Each team will have up to eight hours after the previous selection to make their pick. Clock will be off from Midnight EST to 6am EST. This means that you will have to be able to check the site in the morning AND in the evening during the draft. The eight-hour timer will be turned off from 12:00 AM ET thru 6:00 AM ET. If you will be away for an upcoming pick you may email the commish a set of picks or use the Draft List feature.

Teams must be able to field a legal starting lineup by the end of the draft.

When the timer expires: Allow the system to automatically pick a player for the owner based the highest-ranked available player, first based on the owner's "My Draft List" player ranking, and then once that list is exhausted, according to rankings displayed on the Draft Tracker page.

If an owner misses their pick twice he will be placed on MFL.com auto-pick to maintain the integrity of the keepers for next year's owner. The commish will assist in difficult situations where an owner is not available by using a list given by a team owner.

The bottom line in drafting is A.) Be available for your picks B.) Watch the Message Board to keep the draft moving orderly C.) If you can not be available for a pick please have a list given to the commish or have someone standing in for you to make your picks for you. You may also use the Draft List feature to queue players for your next selection. Drafts are too important to not have representation. Also, active owners spend too much time keeping up on their turn to draft to have one or two coaches hold a draft up.

NOTE: Sometimes there are situations where a full nine hours is needed. However, even though you have twelve hours to make a pick this should mostly only be happening during the nights. This is not a league for those that have an attitude of "I get twelve hours so I am taking the twelve hours" as this generally frustrates other active owners and makes for a feeling of animosity amongst owners. Hopefully the commish will have done a good job of weeding out this type of owner.

3. ANNUAL ROOKIE/VETERAN DRAFT: SLOW, NFL style (Non-serpentine). Rosters will be filled up to 20 spots. Each team will again have eight hours after the prior pick is made with clock off between Midnight EST and 6am EST.

* (2009 for 2010 draft) Picks 1-4 in for following year's draft will be determined by order in which teams end up in weeks 14-15 consolation playoffs of prior year. Top team gets pick #1, 2nd place gets pick #2, etc. Teams from each conference play each other in week 14.

* Picks 5-8 go to 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th places based on weeks 14-16 playoff outcome. Teams from same conferences play each other in week 15.

* Picks 9-12 go to 4th,3rd, 2nd, & 1st places based on weeks 14-16 playoff outcome.

The annual draft, beyond the initial draft held in Year #1, will be held in 3 draft segments in order to foster more activity. We will have the first segment of the draft in Mid-May on an agreed upon date, the second segment will be in June, and the the third segment in July. In August, there will be two off season waiver periods where you can use your BB dollars to acquire a player. BB dollars spent still count towards your budget for the entire season.

If an owner misses their pick twice he will be placed on MFL.com auto-pick to maintain the integrity of the keepers for next year's owner. The commish will assist in difficult situations where an owner is not available by using a list given by a team owner.

Teams that need additional picks to fill up 19-player roster will do so on the message board in the same order as the draft. Free agency protocol will be used if the NFL season starts before all rosters are full.

4. FREE AGENCY:
All teams start the year with 100 points to bid on Free Agents.
Regular Season blind bidding starts on kickoff of first Monday night game (9:00 PM) and ends Thursday at 8 AM ET. MFL will automatically process the waivers. Highest bidder wins that player. Ties will go to team that FIRST entered the bid.

There will be no free agent pickups between the end of week 16 and the following year's draft (see below). 12/17/09

*First-come-first-serve Waiver wire /free agent pickups are available after Thursday at 8 AM ET until Kickoff of each players game of that week.
**note: Weeks that have an early game (i.e. Thanksgiving Thursday) will have an abbreviated FCFS pick-up window. Failure for MFL to process FCFS requests in this fashion should be brought to attention of Commissioner by phone. If commissioner is available the request will be honored. Email requests can not automatically be honored as it is an unreliable time stamp.

Pre-Season: We do not want an injury in pre-season to totally ruin or make a team. Pre-season Free agency will start after the draft is complete. Hopefully there will be time for one round of blind bidding as well as a FCFS period. The blind bidding will include the same blind bidding points used during the season. There are 100 points for entire pre-season and regular season. The times will be a little different as the Commish has to process pre-season blind bidding. The blind bids will hopefully start on a Thursdays at 8:00 pm ET and will be processed by 5:00 PM ET on following Tuesday. First Come First serve will run From Tuesday 5:00 PM ET until kickoff of the next game (this accounts for preseason games start time). THESE RULES WILL TRUMP ANY ERROR IN LEAGUE SETUP (i.e. players may be removed from teams by commish if picked up outside of these parameters).

5. TRADES:
All trades will take one day to process. If Five teams reject this trade than the trade shall not go forth. Commissioner will over-ride this rejection only if commissioner deems that the rejections were entered maliciously. This should not be a big issue as most trades are agreed upon in a good competitive spirit regardless of who appears to be getting a better deal.

The commish can process a trade without the 24 hour period in emergency situations (weekends, etc). Such an incident could be opened up to a vote after the weekend should owners request. The results of the weekend would not be reversed under this scenario.

Trading during the draft will be allowed. I do not know if the site will allow for it but simply post the trade on the message board and have the other team confirm. The confirmed trade will take approx 24 hours for me to process (if mfl.com does not do automatically) and five down votes by league mates will kill the trade.

Trading future draft picks is allowable out two years beyond current year. You may only take five players, each from the different categories, for the upcoming season/draft. Therefore, at each years' rookie draft you may only have one player from the five out of six categories on your team. Example: you may not come to the rookie draft with two RBs on your team. An owner may, however, trade for a second RB after the draft has started or any time during the season.

* Trading ceases at kickoff of week 12 and starts back up after the Fantasy season is over. (12/30/2009)

* If you make a trade for the following season you have 10 days to get current season and that following season's fees paid. The trade will be reversed if the league fees are not brought current in accordance to the new rule. An example: If a 2012 pick is traded between Jan 2010 league draft and Jan 2011league draft, both 2011 and 2012 league fees will have to be payed by team trading the pick. (03/15/2010).

6. LEAGUE PRIZE PAYOUT:
$600 Minus MFL site fees

55% Winner

30% Second Place

15% Third Place

7. PLAYOFFS:
Regular Season runs weeks 1-13. Then, top four teams from each Division compete for Championship-- this will be weeks 14-16.
Tie Breakers for playoff considerations:

1. Winning Percentage
2. Head to Head record
3. Total Points Scored
4. Conference Winning Percentage
5. Reverse Order of Opponents total points scored.

Playoff seeds will be 1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd in each conference. The two conference winners will play each other for the league title.

8. ODD PLAY & UPDATED SCORING: We will rely on www.myfantasyleague.com to determine scoring for odd plays. This way, the commissioner will not be put in a position where his opinion can determine the outcome of a head-to-head match up. Any scoring updates put forth by MFL will be applied and scores will likely change as a result except for final week 16.

9. LEAGUE FEE: The fee to play in the league is $50 per year.

10. SCORING: Scoring breakdown can be found at http://football36.myfantasyleague.com/2007/options?L=17942&O=09 Please note that WR/TE receive 1 pt per reception while other positions only receive .5 pt.

11. Changes in any of the above after the initial year will require a vote resulting in eight or more teams voting in favor of the change. All changes should be voted on an agreed to before league fees are due for that particular year. A request of vote along with second and third owner support is needed to bring a league wide vote for a rule change.

12. Conference alignment:

Conferences will be made up by initial draft pick slot according to the breakdown below and stay the same for three years. After each third year the conferences will be re-aligned with this breakdown based on how the teams ended up the prior year during the regular season. Ties use #7 above minus H2H; Coin flip after this.

Destruction:
Picks/place 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12
Carnage:
Picks/place 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11
