5x5 Strategy question (1 Viewer)

Rounders

Footballguy
Hey guys, I'm new to the fantasy baseball thing, so if this is a dumb question apologies.

Right now in my 5x5 league. My pitchers have gotten me off to a great start for the week with a 1.19 ERA and .075 WHIP. I'm winning these categories, but it's tight he's at 2.30 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. I have 4 scheduled starts over the weekend (Volquez, Zambrano, Dempster, & Danks). At the risk of losing out on W and K's, would it be advantagous to remove my starters and maintain my great ERA and WHIP, thus preserving at least 2 wins in the pitching categories?

My hitting is carrying the team, and I can easily win 4 or 5 of those to give me a weekly win of 7-3 or 6-4. Thoughts? Do people do this in FB?

It's a common strategy, which is why most leagues have a minimum IP for the week. As long as you're above the minimum, there's nothing wrong with sitting your starters. It's certainly not something your league mates should get upset about.

If you're confident you can take most of the hitting categories, I'd say sitting your starters is a good idea.
