I have multiple open spots for some owners in my 6x6 H2H keeper league (OPS and QS with 5 start min.) on ESPN. Each team can keep up to four (4) players from their previous year’s roster.
The round that a player was drafted (or kept for) last season corresponds with the pick he can be kept for in this year's draft:
Rounds 1-3: Forfeit 1st Round Pick
Rounds 4-6: Forfeit 3rd Round Pick
Rounds 7-10: Forfeit 5th Round Pick
Rounds 11-15: Forfeit 9th Round Pick
Rounds 16-21: Forfeit 12th Round Pick
Rounds 22-28/Undrafted: Forfeit 16th Round Pick.
A player retains his keeper value even if he's traded. However, a player dropped during the season RESETS his keeper value. Note that a player picked up off of waivers can be kept for a 16th Round Pick in the next draft. Also, if more than one player corresponds to the forfeiting of the same draft pick, then the owner cannot keep both and must choose which player he wants to keep between the two.
