8 team leagues: how do you set up schedule? (1 Viewer)

Yeah yeah 8 team leagues are lame, every team is loaded, blah blah. Couldn't be helped. Anyway wondering how these leagues normally set up their schedules. I would have thought playing every team twice would be the (at least one of the) most common options, but MFL doesn't have this option unless you tweak everything manually, which frankly would be a royal "PITA." Do y'all normally set up your schedule this way or - ?

Seems like playing everyone twice would be the logical way to do it.I would do everything you could, though, to get two more teams signed up. Beg, plead, whatever. In the event that you live in Antartica and only have 8 people, I would think about upping the starting requirements (2 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR) to make positions a little more scarce.

You should never, ever, EVER beg or plead someone to join your league. Better to have eight committed owners than 10 with two guys who decided to join their seventh league because they wanted another draft fix. Definitely change the lineup requirements and tweak the league to compensate for fewer owners, but don't ever accept people just to reach a certain number. That's why fantasy leagues have so much turnover. They think they need somebody, and they end up with "some" body. Nothing ruins a season more than apathetic owners.

i did an eight man league last year survivor style, but with double elimination

high man gets immunity for the next week, low man gets a strike, two strikes and you are out, payout to the top 2

Round robin x 2 = 14 games.Weeks 15 and 16 playoffs.
