80% chance of rain for Pats vs Jets (1 Viewer)

tempering my enthusiasm for Brady on sunday vs the jets, i really cant have him underperform like he's had over the season, cost me a win last week. Is anyone else looking elsewhere for a starter or am I overreacting?

I've been giving some thought to Seneca Wallace in a potential shoot-out vs. the Rams...but he will likely be dealing with the same weather issues. The promise of rushing points may push me in that direction. Can't make up on mind on Lee Evans vs. Larry Fitzgerald either. Odd week for lineup submission.

Lord help me for quoting Joe Thiesman, but he said a few weeks ago on MNF that he found it easier to grip and throw the ball in the rain. As long as its not torential, it will be just fine. Now, if there is big wind, thats another matter

More than just the weather, I too am tempered about my enthusiasm and the prospect of starting Brady.

Seneca Wallace is a possibility, yet, I am leaning toward Jon Kitna?

Yes, I too can't afford 0 TD's and 200 yards passing.

My season is not over, yet I am challenged with my lineup. Injuries and moderate performance takes it toll.

Brady

R. Brown

C. Taylor

T. Bell - in reserve

Holt :D

Driver :)

Fitzgerald :loco:

Vinatieri :)

Baltimore :D

Jets have #2 pass DEF and terrible run DEF. Plus Pats blew it last week by not running more. Given the weather, matchup, etc I see a solid prediction coming:

BENCH BRADY

i've been playing QBBC (favre) all year hoping brady would step up and be the QB of last yr, but i guess with surrounding talent(lack of wr and a solid ground attack) he has not and ranks in my league as the same as Favre(no penalties for Int), I still cant figure him out or the NE offense and have no idea what to think of him going forward.

There are probably lots of stats that will prove me wrong, but I am not a big believer in QBs faltering because of rain. Extreme wind is a concern (Giants vs TB recently). But rain? It had better be torential for me to bench a guy for that.

Jets have #2 pass DEF
Where did you get THIS BS?They have given up 229 yards per game passing (league average is 221) which makes them around 20th

They have given up 10 TD passing which ties them (with six other teams) for 11th place
http://www.fanball.com/fb/teamProfile.cfm/team.NEBut I agree somewhat with you, fanball is off on this one. Not sure how they calculate the ratings. Either way, I think it's a bad play for Brady unless you have a #18 or worse QB on the bench.

How about Coles against the Pats secondary? The absence of Rodney Harrison helps, but the weather may offset that advantage. I think the Jets will have to pass to keep the Pats off balance, so I am hoping the week of rest will do Coles some good. Struggling over starting him over Fitz' at this point, but am leaning towards it.

Brady has played the Jets 11 times. Heres his career numbers against them

I think i might be more confused than before? Its safe to say that NE does well against the jets, but fantasywise, Brady doesnt really light them up..thats what I get from these past stats

Yeah, their rankings make no sense whatsoever. They have GB rated as the #1 pass defense. Some of the rankings are close, some are way off. Completely useless.
