On a related note: I rather enjoyed watching "NFL Fantasy Live" on Wednesday when Fabiano and Elliot Harrison giggled like school girls and mocked the host when he dared to ask them whether Julius Thomas should be started this week. In fairness though, it's entirely likely that neither of them had ever heard of Julius Thomas prior to last evening.

These guys are too clueless to have anyone listen to them. I tried listening to around the league podcast and it seemed like they spent more time talking about themselves than anything relevant to football. Not that they would know relevant to football from a hole in the ground. So I guess they are doing the right thing?

I didn't hear the show the op is referring to. May check that out after a bit.

By the end of this week just about anyone who took a stand on anything should have some form of crow to digest.

At NFL.com, one of the analysts listed Stephen Williams as the 40th best receiver in football and then claimed he was the best receiver on the Seahawks. I want to see this happen.

I watch the show because I'm usually working when it's on, and the entertainment value/face-palm factor is off the charts. Fabiano is a clown. One example: there was discussion on this board about Terrelle Pryor for over a week before Scoop Fabiano pops up on Twitter and says something to the effect of "Keep an eye on Pryor... looks like he might start!"

Thanks a bunch, Mike.

Could that show have hired any less worthy hosts? Jesus those guys are clueless. It's like they hired guys off the street that just started playing FF last year.

Jason Smith should have kept his overnight gig at ESPN. He was mildly effective in that role.

I almost have to think this is an act because this is their target audience.

But then listening to them I can only conclude it isn't an act because you cannot make this stuff up.

This is why most fantasy football "experts" are a joke. Many of these guys have their fantasy job because of their journalist career, not their football chops. I respect Bloom, Lammey, Waldman, and Christopher Harris from ESPN, but most fantasy "experts" know no more than the average Shark Pool reader.

To the host's credit his reply included "John fox needs to just let it be a blitzkrieg and blow teams out 49-28". Nice call.

Well I can't argue much with their radio talent, as it seems they're a bunch of writers trying to speak in a new medium, they definitely know their football. Chris Wesseling used to hang out here as Fear & Loathing. Anyone paying attention to him had Julius Thomas on their rosters already.

It's like with the Dan Patrick show where they have guys who are basically producers for the show but they like to interject themselves in from time to time. That is fine, but when they try to make the show about them, it falls uber-flat.

It's nice of Eisen to throw them a bone with their own show, but it doesn't mean anyone but their mothers need to listen to it.

Yes I know Fear and Loathing. Have for a long time. I do not think he was on the 20 minutes or so I endured of zero football content before switching it off.

I would bet that will change once actual football has occurred. They did a ton of preview shows before the last couple that didn't have as much analysis.

Ok I am a sucker for suffering and will give them another chance some time when I am out of better options.

I kind of look at it like this though. If this is what a majority of people are getting for their information during pre-season?

That makes all our lives much easier.
