Does a farmer also love killing animals? A butcher? Just need some clarification on their levels of bloodlust.

The farmer raises them as pets. They get too big to take care of, so he has to sell them. The butcher comes in after the fact. The animal is already dead. The only bad guy is the one that actually kills them at the processing plant.

I would say those running the big pig farms certainly do. I'm not a hunter but someone chasing a deer or some birds in the woods gets way too much attention when these large animal farms are committing some of the most inhumane acts against animals in recorded history.
I assume you realize you are comparing someone who does it for sport versus two occupations that do it to earn a living, right? I mean, you do understand that fundamental difference, correct? It can be hard to tell in here when people start rolling out the strawmen.

You're assuming that hunting isn't a means to a end. I've already said I don't believe hunting is a sport. There is nothing difficult or challenging about it.
Farmers and butchers are putting food on someone's table for money. Hunting is the same thing just cutting out the middling man.

Does it matter whether it's done for sport or not? In both cases an animal dies and it's used for food. It's not as if the hunter is leaving the animal to rot in the field. To me, it's no different whether it done by a hunter or a farm.
Plus, hunting can be good for the environment as it keeps animal populations in check that would otherwise overrun an environment.

The money spent on permits is often the money used to create new, or protect old habitat for wildlife. It's kind of ironic or a Catch-22 or whatever.
I'm sorry to those that want everything to be concrete and strip malls.

I'm not commenting on the morality of man killing animals for food. I'm commenting on the notion--which is totally bizarre to many of us--that some people take great PLEASURE in the killing of animals. It's like a killing party. YAY KILLING.

Killing a bear just to get a pretty new rug is disgusting. I deer hunt. Have for about 5-6 years now.
I wouldn't say I love it, but it isn't a bad way to spend some time. Sitting in the woods at daybreak utilizing all of your senses trying to get a deer can be therapeutic in some ways. If the weather is nice, it can be great. But a lot of times it is really cold which takes away any enjoyment.
The moment you spot a deer is intense. Not because you are excited to kill, but there is a thrill in the hunt. I think that is where the "sport" aspect comes in. Your heart certainly starts to race. Especially as you take aim and decide to take the shot.
Pulling the trigger feels like that point on a roller coaster when you drop off the first hill. The noise is deafening after hours of near silence. And then there is a moment of chaos where you are trying to figure out if you hit your target or not.
After that it kind of sucks. You usually wait to let it bleed out, if it fell down (if not, you see if you can find blood and then track it). Once you get to it, it is usually still breathing and you finish it off with a shot to the head.
Then comes field dressing which is disgusting and awful. The cut you make from sternum through the ###### is gross and stinks. Hen you get to dig in with your hands and a knife and pull out organs, the majority of which are filled with some stage of poop. Once done with that, you have to drag it out of the woods.
I will say I feel a sense of accomplishment when actually getting a deer. It really sucks when you freeze for several hours and come away with nothing.
All that said, the only reason I really do it is for the meat. I'd rather play golf or watch a good movie, but the meat you get from a deer is good food and very inexpensive.

Wearing a life jacket and jumping from any substantial height is a bad safety practice. The life jacket will ride up with substantial force. Also... my daughter was wearing a life jacket. Please describe what safety gear is being worn in the Uzi shooting video. Any bulletproof vests? Helmets? Oh wait, they are wearing safety glasses. Their eyes will be protected in case of an accident.

My wife is a health nut and grass fed beef is expensive. I can, in one day, get enough red meat to last us about 9 months for a cash cost of about $100 total. I literally hunt for the meat.
