A.Bradshaw: Lottery ticket or real value? (1 Viewer)

How does one evaluate Bradshaw? We all know at this point that T.Richardson is one or two bad games away from the bench. If Richardson's struggles continue how much value does Bradshaw have?

My questions are

-Is it likely or just possible that Bradshaw takes the job this season?

- Is Bradshaw healthy

- Assuming Richardson loses his job is Bradshaw the man or does Dan Herron get the call?

- Is Bradshaw (a bench player) worth taking over a starter like S.Greene who on the surface (at least according to the "experts") has little value?

Two obstacles a) Trent b) injury bug. Overcoming the former is going to be much easier than overcoming the latter. I view him as a lottery ticket who needs a couple things to break his way, but still worth rostering because of talent.

Is Bradshaw the more proven and talented NFL RB compared to TRich = Yes

Bradshaw has missed very few games because of his foot issues and he has had almost a full year off to heal

The Colt offense is set up to put up major FF numbers on offense

The Colts are in a win now mode and will eventually play the RB that gives them the best chance to win, regardless of the TRich trade

"If" his neck is not an issue I see Bradshaw taking over as the lead dog in the Colt backfield

A related questions (and I realize this is a Bradshaw thread, so...) BUT, if you wanted a lottery ticket from the Colts backfield - would you want it to be Bradshaw or Herron?

(No, this is not a veiled AC question - both are rostered in my league - just thought it was an interesting question)

I think that's entirely dependent on bradshaw's neck, and I have no source on that.

if his neck doesn't break bradshaw is significantly more than a lottery ticket.

It really just comes down to the pecking order atm. I mean, it's possible TRich is ineffective -> Bradshaw gets the next shot and succumbs to injury -> Herron gains value by default.. but we only have so many weeks to work with and bench space is too valuable.

I think Herron is only worth rostering in deeper leagues and even in those I chose to go with guys like Crowell, Mckinnon and etc. who offer rather insane upside.

I know Herron did well this preseason, but wasn't it mostly against 3rd stringers? Bradshaw on the other hand has proven himself to be a solid NFL rb against the best competition

Not trying to attack Saboo but this kind of statement is one of my pet peeves. Herron played well when he was put on the field. The players on his side of the ball weren't the starters either. I would rather see a guy look good out there against whomever is out there and I get very concerned when a guy like Richardson looks like crap vs. the starters. My point being you can only play against who is out there when you play. To me, it just means he is at present a ways down the depth chart.

I targeted Bradshaw but only landed him in a couple of leagues.

He's one of the many mid/late round RB's that were intriguing targets this year, making it that much easier for me to go WR/TE in the early rounds.

I consider him a lottery ticket I guess...but a much higher probability of payout than many other lotto tickets.

He could end up in a quagmire of RBBC though, even if he stays healthy and even if Richardson loses the clear #1 role.
