Let me try the Chiefs

QB-Warren Moon - Ended career in KC in 1999-2000.

Ron Jaworski - Ended his career in KC in 1989 - Marty's first season

David Kreig - signed here for 92 and 93 - the trade for Joe Montana is what kept him ON this list.

RBs-Mike Pruitt - Career 7378 Yds 2-time Pro Bowler ended career in 85-86 with KC.

John Brockington - Great GB back finished career on worst KC team ever in 1977.

John Stephens - was 1988 PB'er as a rookie for NE played for KC in 1993

WRs-Joe Horn drafted by KC; went onto multiple PB's with NO

Brett Perriman - one year wonder in DET who parlayed it into all of 6 catches after KC signed him to a big deal

Webster Slaughter - one season in KC was 1995

Eric Martin - Former NO Pro Bowler ended in KC

TE

Paul Coffman - former GB Pro Bowler came back home in 86-87 to end his career.

EDIT.....If I had to pare it down.....I would go....

Brockington

Horn

Martin

Coffman

I don't think the Giants are going to do too well in this game. Larry Csonka and Ed McCaffrey come to mind, but both may have spent a little too much time with the Giants to qualify for the under 15% rule. Herschel Walker comes to mind as well. I can't think of any QBs or TEs of note that fit under the 15% rule.

WR: Henry Ellard (814 rec., 13,777 yds), Randy Moss (10,700), Bert Emanuel (4,852)

So here is what we have with the Oilers, not counting Largent's pre-season stint.

Seattle Seahawks

Warren Moon 51061

Franco Harris -- 14407

Ahman Green 11201

Jerry Rice -- 23540

Harold Jackson 10553

Pete Metzelaars 3686

Marcus Pollard -- 4007

114,769 Total Yards
You guys are doing a great job of picking out some players that my program didn't get. Pollard is a great addition to a stacked squad. And yes, I think the Seahawks take it.

Jags are a tough team.QB - BeuerleinRB - Anthony Johnson? (Natrone Means had > 15% of his yards as a JagsRB - Zack Crockett?WR - Ernest GivinsWR-Andre RisonTE - ???
Pretty sure you got the RBs right. Another WR that comes close but Misses is Sean Dawkins with ~6300 career rec yards. best TE I could find was Greg Delong with 257 yards? :boxing:
I could be wrong, but I don't show DeLong as ever playing for the Jags. Troy Sadowski is your guy according to my calculations.Other than that, the Jags team above, with Reggie Cobb in place of Zack Crockett per the JM4Steelers suggestion, looks good.

Stabler doesn't quite qualify for the Oilers team. Dave Krieg is your QB.Gary Garrison actually gets the slight total yardage nod over Lionel Taylor.

Casper also doesn't quite qualify. Jimmie Giles could be your TE.

Anyhow, maybe somebody went to a Cowboys camp to fill out the RB2 spot:

QB - Bledsoe

RB - E George

WR - H Carmichael

WR - Jimmy Smith

TE - Jackie Smith

-QG
The Cowboys have some decent RB2 options, Adrian Murrell and J.D. Smith being the best of them. The Cowboys have an unbelievably deep WR group. They have 13 receivers who either had a 1000-yard season or went to a Pro Bowl, plus Reggie Rucker and Duriel Harris!

WR: Jimmy Smith

WR: Terrell Owens

WR: Lance Alworth

WR: Anthony Miller

WR: Harold Carmichael

WR: Tommy McDonald

WR: Reggie Rucker

WR: Darnay Scott

WR: Bobby Joe Conrad

WR: Sonny Randle

WR: Buddy Dial

WR: Peerless Price

WR: Duriel Harris

WR: Ray Mathews

WR: Willie Jackson

You've got all the starters. Chris Calloway edges out Emanuel for that first bench slot.

Jags are a tough team.

LATEST HEADLINES:

# 9/5/2000 DeLong signed with the Jaguars Tuesday, with Damon Jones being placed on injured reserve.
Delong never gathered any stats with the Jags, but played in 4 games for them in 2000. 0/0/0 in those games. His SI player page shows Jag Logo. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/players/3455/

DD -- Should I bother trying with the Steelers? I have a feeling its going to be a bunch of people from the 30s-50s that no one had heard of or will remember. Don't want to bother if that's the case.

The Steelers don't have a particularly illustrious squad. Their QB is from the 60s. Their RBs are from the 80s and the 00s. Both WRs are from the 90s. Tight end from the 50s whom I'd never heard of him but was pretty good.

With not as much effort as I was using last night....

QB: Unitas

RBs: Duce Staley, ???

WRs: Terrence Mathis, David Dunn? (was thinking Jeff Graham but he's just over 15%)

TE: ?

Fun game, Dave

Raiders:

QB Blanda 27264

RB Dickerson 15396

RB Roger Craig 13100

WR Jerry Rice 23540

WR Lofton 14250

TE Dave Kocourek 4090

Total 97640

Broncos

QB Steve Deberg 34441

RB Tony Dorsett 16293

RB Garrison Hearst 10031

WR Jerry Rice 23540

WR Eddie Kennison 8511

TE Mike Barber 2788

Total: 95604

NYG QB = Kurt Warner (although Milt Plum is a cooler option!)NYG TE = Emery Moorehead
Norm Snead is your QB.Your TE is Todd Christensen! See, that's what this game is all about. I had no idea he played for the Giants until my program spit him out just now.
I can't believe I forgot about Warner. I would have never thought of Sneed or the TEs.

BroncosQB Steve Deberg 34441RB Tony Dorsett 16293RB Garrison Hearst 10031WR Jerry Rice 23540WR Eddie Kennison 8511TE Mike Barber 2788Total: 95604
Emery Moorehead actually outgained Mike Barber by just a hair. Other than that, you've got it (assuming Rice is allowable --- otherwise it's Flipper Anderson).

Rams

Everett QB: 34,837/596

Dickerson RB: 13,259/2,137

Faulk RB: 12,279/6,825

Bruce WR: 13,376/154

Ellard WR: 13,777/50

Charlie Young TE: 5,106

TOTAL: 102,446

Not too shabby.

Pretty good without a 50K passer!

For those wanting "answers," here they are.

http://pro-football-reference.com/junk/heplayedforthem.htm

On that page, I've included more than just the required number at each position, but the scoring is based on the top QB and TE and the top two RBs and WRs.

Also note that you guys have come up with quite a few players that my program wasn't able to pick out. Most notably

1. guys who are playing for new franchises in 2007 (e.g. Marcus Pollard and Randy Moss)

2. guys who were on a particular team but never played a game for them (e.g. Steve Largent for the Oilers and Jerry Rice for the Broncos)

How about the N.O. Saints?

QB - Richard Todd

RB - Lamar Smith

RB - Earl Campbell

WR - Eddie Kennison

WR - Jake Reed (Haywood Jeffires is close)

TE - Andrew Glover

RB was much tougher than I thought. Campbell was easy, but I thought for sure Chuck Muncie would qualify. Not even close. About half of his yardage came with the Saints. Bad memory. Then again, I was only 7. :goodposting: I also thought Wes Chandler would qualify. Nope. He had decent stats in N.O. too.

Thanks, Doug...that was fun. Now I'll go see how I did...

I am working on the Cardinals but need some help. This is what I have so farQB- Dave KriegRB - Emmitt SmithRB- Edge JamesWR - Gary ClarkWR - Randel HillNeed a 2nd WR and a TEEdited to add Hill
For TE I would guess Jay Novacek, but he may have exceeded the 15% criteria (was a St. Louis Cardinal), same goes for Freddie Jones.WR Could be Ahmad Rashaad or Eric Metcalf if you list him at WR...

Doug:

It depends on how define this. If pre-season count's it's vastly different than making a roster.

Largent for the Oilers is one example of this - you will also miss guys like LeCharles Bentley (I know he's a C) who sign a contract and never play for the team.

So you've got:

- Ever been on roster

- On regular season roster (includign/excluding IR)

- Played regular or post- season game

Didn't Rice play for the Broncos, but amass no stats?

Mungo Burrows said:
Ravens have McNair, Byner and Terry Allen
Assuming he stays healthy this year, McNair will exceed 15% and get replaced by Harbaugh.Vinnie T and Shannon Sharpe just missed the 15% cutoff. Priest missed by more than I expected (around 24%)
looking into this a little more, I may have missed someone, but the Ravens have a more respectable total than I expected:QB R. Cunningham 34907

RB E. Byner 12866

RB T. Allen 10215

WR T.Owens 11874*

WR F. Sanders 6753

TE B. Coates 5555

Total: 82170

* This is using the liberal "as long as he was under contract at some point" interpretation like Jerry Rice counting for the Broncos. He was technically traded from SF then traded to Philly. If not, then Marcus Robinson moves in for a net -7166

Edit to: replace McNair with Randall Cunningham and update total
