A Hall of Fame look at the NFL Draft (1 Viewer)

An interesting breakdown of Hall of Famers by draft round:

http://www.profootballhof.com/history/gene...draft/round.jsp

In the modern era (after 1946-the present) there are 23 QB's that have been inducted into the HOF. If my math is correct, 12 of them were 1st rounders:

Aikman

Bradshaw

Dawson

Elway

Graham

Griese

Kelly

Layne

Marino

Namath

Tittle

Young

ZERO qb's taken in the 2nd round of the NFL's modern era draft are in the HOF...ZERO! Ace Parker is the only 2nd round qb in NFL history to be inducted into the Hall of Fame (1937).

I thought that was interesting. Bart Starr was a decent pick by the Packers in the 17th round, btw!

If you want to draft a future HoF qb, make sure you don't take him in the second round else he'll be doomed to a career of mediocrity.

Any other future HOF 2nd rounders besides Favre???
Not 2nd, but Brady was a 6th and is probably a lock. Not locks:Drew Brees would have to accomplish a heckuva lot but I guess if he did he could be a second rounder that makes it.Matt Hasselbeck was a 6th round pick, but he still has time and if the Seahawks suddenly embarked on a run of dominance and won some super bowls he could be.Marc Bulger was a 6th rounder and still has time as well. He's only 30 and has some very nice numbers so far.
