Why is Lamont Jordan not listed on this week's prelim cheatsheets while D Rhodes is ranked in a relatively high position? Lamont isn't even ON the cheatsheet. Does FBG know something I don't? Last I heard he was just questionable.

Dodds- Is it your opinion that Rhodes will get most of the carries regardless of the extent of Lamont's Back injury?

1. Bumping your thread after 3 minutes? Wow.2. David has an e-mail address. Probably best to reach him there instead of expecting him to read every thread in the SP on a daily basis.HTH

thanks for the tip. i just figured that an individual who makes his livelihood through this endeavor may read the boards on his website, or have mods to relay matters of interest that may want to be brought to his attention.

Why don't you go to Oaklands official website where they have info on Jordan? Are you depending solely on FBG's to guide you to a decision?

no, but since i pay $30 a year basically for the cheatsheets that i find helpful and diligent..I would like to know why Lamont Jordan is missing from the entire sheet while rhodes is ranked so high. i own both, which i hate...but it is important for me that i make my line up decision before having to leave for work over the weekend.

Dodds might be taking the angle that Jordan is out until we hear otherwise, which as a Jordan owner I agree with.

He didn't practice on Monday, didn't finish practice on Wednesday (iirc), and Rhodes is back in town and running with the first team. There is nothign for Dodds to base an opinion on right now...

The cheatsheets are someone's opinion. If you want to know what is going on with Jordan and Rhodes, you can find direct information on the Raiders website. Also some decisions aren't even made until Sunday prior to games, so I guess you must get screwed sometimes if you like making your decisions before you leave for (or from?) work over the weekend, especially with all the injuries this year.

Jordan tried to practice Wednesday but couldn't finish it because of his back.
Good info. It's my understanding that Jordan isn't on the cheatsheet because it is still unclear if he will play. I would not be surprised to see him out one more week, but who knows. We'll definitely know more after Thurs. and Friday's practice.

Yep, and that's why the first one is called a preliminary cheatsheet....

Remember, last week Selvin Young was ranked high and Henry was listed as getting 0 points. We all know how that turned out.

Preliminary is absolutely correct.

You know, responses like this frustrate me for some reason.First, and most importantly, if you are using FBG for "basically for the cheat sheets that i find helpful and diligent..." then you are missing out on a lot of other good info. It is equivalent to my wife that only uses her laptop to play solitaire. I would highly recommend you looking at the other articles and podcasts that are available each week. And while we are on the subject, your $30.00 a year breaks down to $1.88 a week, if we are only talking about the first sixteen weeks (which would cover a fantasy football schedule). I'm not including all the preseason/camp reports or post season updates that are provided through the Super Bowl. I have never found a better value.Second, if you truly feel that your question does not belong on a public message board (as you indicated in your title) than a pm would have been more appropriate. Finally, as a L. Jordan owner myself, I am also playing the waiting game. Will the Friday/Saturday cheat sheet affect my decision to start him or not? Certainly. Will it be the only thing I base my decision on? Absolutely not. If you are struggling to decide, simply because of his ranking in the cheat sheets, then I suggest you go to the ACF and post your roster in a WDIS thread.

I also enjoyed this gem from the subscriber contents (overvalued players)

"Kickers

Olindo Mare

* Top 250: 9

* Weekly Ranking: 21

* Difference: - 12

The Dolphin offense is really hurt by the loss of Trent Green for an indefinite period of time. His absence will make it more difficult for the offense to score points. This will filter down to Mare and result in fewer scoring opportunities for him to score. "

Thanks for the insight... I didn't realize he got traded back to the Dolphins.

sorry for hijacking the thread, heard there was a decent chance Lamont plays this weekend too... might still leave it alone since they're playing SD, good week to sit-and-wait on the Oakland RB situation IMHO.

Maybe he does use the other parts of his subscription to help him. Does that mean he can't pick this part of ask for a bit of an explanation? Maybe if he hears someone's reasoning for the lack of ranking, it would help him greater than just seeing a lack of a ranking.

I was simply responding to his statement: "i pay $30 a year basically for the cheatsheets that i find helpful and diligent.."If he wishes to get a generally consensus on Jordan, there are plenty of threads that discuss his injury, sharing time with Rhodes and Fargas, and how his team's running game will fair against the Chargers. If he wishes to inquire whether another RB on his roster may be a better start, there is the option to have an open dialog in the ACF. If he desires Mr. Dodds to breakdown his reasoning as to why he ranked Jordan the way he did, then perhaps he should wait until an update cheat sheet is released. I believe the FBG staff was leery of producing a prelim cheat sheet for just this reason. There are plenty of ways this argument can be viewed. I did not intend to insult the OP. I merely wished to illustrate his options. Unfortunately with this hobby, there is more unknown than known. I tend to take a more conservative approach, which is reflected in my posts. However (a little bit in my defense) the ratio of biased opinion to facts is greatly skewed in any forum.If the OP did take offense to my comments, then I offer an apology.

To be honest - I don't understand why Jordan is missing as well....there are plenty of players whose status we don't know about that are ranked high on the cheatsheet (Ex. A Boldin).....I think Boldin and Lamont are in the same boat (probably won't play, or won't play much), but one is ranked very high and the other is left off entirely..... :clap:

T(he)y made different assumptions for the players. I guess they could have a completely separate cheatsheet for questionable players, but I think that would be more confusing.
