A question about the Colts fantasy defense. (1 Viewer)

MFL gives the Colts credit for 1 fumble recovery.

Not all leagues will give a defense credit for a fumble that goes into the end zone.

What would be the reasoning for not giving the Colts Def a fumble recovery here? There was a change of possession, correct?

I'm a commish on CBS and as of this morning they do not show the points, yet Moats is "credited" with a fumble lost. Is there any special circumstance here that I should consider before I manually adjust the score of this game?

Same thing happened in SD/Mia earlier in the year (week 3?) when Pennington fumbled. I think if you polled the league it would be evenly split on whether to count it or not - what defines a recovery. I had to be a d*** for about 2 weeks trying to finish a poll on whether to count it or not and the poll ended 5-4 in a 12 team league = no majority and no change and cost me a win :goodposting:

Because there was no recovery of the fumble. The box score does not credit the Colts defense with a Fumble Recovery, and the official gamebook only credits the Colts with 1 total Fumble Recovery (and that was an offensive lineman's recovery of a Peyton Manning fumble). There are several types of "possession changes" which typically do not score points for fantasy defenses (turnover on downs, safeties, onside kicks, etc.).

For the same reason that a fumble through the end zone is a touchback?Fwiw the refs completely blew that call. It shouldn't have been ruled a touchback because Antoine Bethea was touching the ball with half his body out of bounds before the other defender even had the opportunity to pick up the ball. The ball should have been dead at that spot with possession belonging to Houston.

Thanks. Misunderstanding on my part. I didn't see the play and was trying to figure out what happend. I thought the ball was recovered in the end zone. Didn't realize it went out of bounds in the end zone. Makes sense now.
