A-Rod Just hit a Walk-Off Grand Slam (1 Viewer)

So happy for Alex.

Best player probably ever to be hated by the majority of his hometown fans. Idiots.

I was cheering loudly in my room watching it unfold. Can't wait to hear the WFAN calls this weekend now.

Didn't get a chance to see the game. Did the most expensive player in baseball drop any fly balls today? :D

Of course, he hits a grand slam when all they need is a single. Typical Arod. The guy just has no knack for the situation.

The fans will be off his back all the way until the next game.

Obviously pure jealousy drives the fans. Funny how $6 million can make all the difference in the world to 'em...

Here's a link to the vid: A Rod's Walkoff

Edit: Remove http:// in front of it to get it to play. Stupid coding won't allow for it to be posted any different way that won't stretch the page.

They don't pay him to hit walk-offs in April. The NY fans have every right to be on his back. It is my hope they drive him out of NY and into Detroits open and inviting arms.

I'm pretty sure the calls into Mike and the Angry Puppy will be along the lines of:

Let's not get too excited here. It was really only a single. It's not like he did it down by 3 on a full count against 4 pitchers on the mound at the same time, one of which is throwing live grenades.

And Chris will agree.

Shocking, fans cheer when you hit homeruns and boo when you drop popups.

The Yankees fans gave A-Rod a curtain call on Opening Day for a meaningless tack on home run.

Nice win today, but this team is in a world of pitching hurt right now. If Kei Igawa doesn't get it together, it's even worse.

:lmao: it's funny cause it's true. /homer

First week of the season is not when they want a walk-off...

They want a walkoff in the playoffs when the game means a hell of a lot more. In fact, all they want is a single with a RISP, or hel... even a single in October.

Yea, this is meaningless as far as the fans are concerned.

Arod won an MVP fo rthe Yanks (last since 85 Mattingly) and he gets treated like crap.

Yankee fans expect the best, anything less in unacceptable.

To say he does nothing in Oct.

With Sea he had 3 total series

1997 ALDS SEA BAL L 4 16 1 5 1 0 1 1 0 5 .313 .313 .563 0 0 0 0 0 2000 ALDS SEA CHW W 3 13 0 4 0 0 0 2 0 2 .308 .308 .308 0 1 1 0 0 ALCS SEA NYY L 6 22 4 9 2 0 2 5 3 8 .409 .480 .773 1 0 0 0 0.313,308,409 ( 3HR 8RBI)OK OK, I know "It's not NY"

In 4 series with NY

2004 ALDS NYY MIN W 4 19 3 8 3 0 1 3 2 1 .421 .476 .737 2 1 0 0 0 ALCS NYY BOS L 7 31 8 8 2 0 2 5 4 6 .258 .378 .516 0 0 0 0 2 2005 ALDS NYY LAA L 5 15 2 2 1 0 0 0 6 5 .133 .381 .200 1 1 2006 ALDS NYY DET L 4 14 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 4 .071 .071 .071 0 0 .421, 258, 133, 071

(3 HR 8 RBI)

(No HR or RBI in last 2 series)

I really feel, that he can win a WS MVP, and the fans will only be happy with him, til he fails in a clutch spot again. The $$ he got was a curse, the bullseye will forever be on his back because of it. If he leaves NY and wins a WS elsewhere, the talk for the rest of his life will be interupted with a "BUT he never won in NY."
