A scenario to be prepared for in enter-your-own roster leagues (1 Viewer)

Just a quick note to you guys, we've had the issue before of the same name player(Ricky Williams, etc) coming up before but its rampant this year, being the same guys at duplicate positions. You've got:

Steve Smith- WR

Adrian Peterson- RB

I feel like one is escaping me, but there is also the Anthony Gonzalez/Tony Gonzalez potentiality too.

Anyway, I can just see this popping up this year. Someone signs Chicago's Peterson instead of Minny's and when AP Minny blows up week 2 and is on the wire, what is your ruling? At what point is a manager responsiblty for his roster versus intent and all the issues.

Not defending anyone's stupidity, my advice is just have a ruling in place and precedent to rule on.

Personally, I"m saying anyone on the wire week 1 is fair game and if you misentered your roster, thats the hard lesson you learn.

The situation gets even tricker if Steve Smith NYG or Chicago's AP defy the odds and blow up early on. Who gets them then?

As far as I'm concerned, it's the responsibility of the owner to double check who he wants before clicking. That should be the rule, and if it is, nobody has a right to complain if they mess up.

I agree with you in theory, but my only advice is be prepared, because it could well happen.
