Latest News link of MFL - (KFFL) Minnesota Vikings CB Antoine Winfield (neck) will be a game-time decision in Week 5 even though he is listed as doubtful. Head coach Leslie Frazier said he hopes Winfield will be healthy enough to play in the game.

Footballguys rankings assume he won't play .... Do we think the coach's comments are smokescreen or will Frazier play him despite not practicing ? What's the medium term prognosis on this type of injury ?

As for week 5, despite it being a 1pm game, I have been making roster moves at CB to cover the likelihood of Winfield being inactive this week.

Winfield was inactive for week 5.Des Hasler to the Bulldogs ... No chance that Manly keep him in 2012 to play out the string ... Go the Bulldogs

Back to Winfield though, I would be interested to hear anything further on his progress. All I have heard is he has a stiff neck and is considered day to day. Might have to start making preparations for another game time decision.
