I just had to bring this post back forward from last year. I got bashed last Feb for saying that Rodgers should keep his mouth shut because Braun was OBVIOUSLY lying and getting off on a technicality. I do agree that Rodgers can have his own opinion and say whatever he wants to, but that doesn't mean he doesn't look like a moron for doing so.

Please go back and read your posts on this subject. Most of you were claiming Braun's innocence and it wasn't more obvious that he was guilty last year. In addition, most of you were insulting my intelligence and frankly way out of line in things that you said to me. I feel like a few of you owe me an apology.

The big deal is that MLB didn't try to pick on Braun. Braun is gulity hands down and he's getting off. Rodgers should just keep his f'ing mouth shut.

well, I agree with that statement as well, assuming that he meant both Farve and Rodgers are better than any QB the Vikings have ever had (with the possible exception of Favre himself, who had his statistically best season the first year with the Vikings). If he meant better than ANY Vikings player period, then I cannot agree with that. ADP is at least on the same level as those 2 in positional comparisons, and Randy Moss is better than both (#2 WR of all time, compared to Favre and Rodgers probably in the bottom half of the top 10 at best...)

Tarkenton got a bit of his stats while with the Giants, remember.

He has Rodgers beaten in the totals category (more yards, TDs, etc), but Rodgers is a lot better in the efficiency ratings. (104.9 vs 80.4 passer rating says it all). Tarkenton also only made 5 pro bowls in 13 years in Minnesota, while Rodgers has made 3 in his 5 seasons as starter.

You want basis? Tarkenton is a hall of famer. He held all qb records for years until Marino broke them and then Favre. I never said Rodgers would never surpass him, but as of now Tarkenton is ahead of him. Sure Rodgers has a ring, but so does Dilfer.

You want basis? Tarkenton is a hall of famer. He held all qb records for years until Marino broke them and then Favre. I never said Rodgers would never surpass him, but as of now Tarkenton is ahead of him. Sure Rodgers has a ring, but so does Dilfer.

So responding = whiner. And that has what to do with the Packers...other than you little thing about Rodgers...you have barely talked about the Packers.

And Rodgers, on his current career trajectory will destroy Tarkenton's numbers and be and HOFer as well.

As it stands...Rodgers numbers in his short career show him to simply be better than Tarkenton...so the only thing you have are total numbers of a much longer career. Congrats.

well, I agree with that statement as well, assuming that he meant both Farve and Rodgers are better than any QB the Vikings have ever had (with the possible exception of Favre himself, who had his statistically best season the first year with the Vikings). If he meant better than ANY Vikings player period, then I cannot agree with that. ADP is at least on the same level as those 2 in positional comparisons, and Randy Moss is better than both (#2 WR of all time, compared to Favre and Rodgers probably in the bottom half of the top 10 at best...)

His claim was those 2 QBs were better than any Viking player ever. At this point Fran Tarkenton is head and shoulders above Rodgers. Granted, Rodgers career isn't over, but he's got a long ways to go.FTR, I'm far from a Vikings fan.

Obviously his career isn't in the books yet. But prorating the number (basically Tarkenton played about triple the games Rodgers has) and Rodgers destroys him statistically in just about all categories.

The big ones are total yardage (Rodgers on pace for about 15000 more) touchdowns (Rodgers on pace for about 150 more), QB rating (Rodgers leading by over 25 points) Completion Percentage (Rodgers is about 9 ponts higher).
