About to start a draft... Unprepared (1 Viewer)

I could use any help from the resident fantasy baseball experts. I'm usually prepared for these thigns but this one kind of snuck up on me.

H2H league, standard cats and scoringl

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

I do not have any H2H leagues, nor play in any leagues without CI, MI and 5 OFs. So I do not know that my typical strategies of waiting until the last moment on MI and P would work.

In fact, because you offense is so relatively undervalued in this format- I'd be tempted to completely swap strategies and hit SP and RP early and often. Everyone needs so few OF and IF, there should be plenty of talent around in the mid and late-mid rounds.

I'd probably grab a 3-4 huge HR/RBI guys in the first 5 Rs and load up on the best pitching staff in the league thru R10, then hit power and speed the rest of the draft, hoping for a sweep in P and one or two HR, RBI or SB stats to win the weekly matchups.

Mostly I need to know who are the hoshot rookies, or possible midseason callups, who has changed teams which will lead to increases or decreases in production, that sort of thing.

For that, I would print out the draft results from the Tangent Memorial League and any other real, recent ones you can find. Then print out a couple of cheatsheets.Take note of the big differences in draft positions of players- those will be the commodities you want to examine further. For example- early draft sheets show Chris Davis going around 120-150. Lots of recent drafts show him top 50. So he's a guy you shoud do some research on. Same with guys like THome and Burrell - in the opposite direction.
