Absurd depth or stud? (1 Viewer)

ShaqAttaq

Morally Ambiguous
in a 10 team, 0-2 player keeper league that allows for trading of draft picks up to 1 year in advance, i have positioned myself to obtain 13 of the top 50 players this year. keepers count as your 1 and/or 2 round picks if you keep players. my draft as it currently stands:

keepers: 0 players

round 1: 1 player

round 2: 1 player

round 3: 4 players

round 4: 4 players

round 5: 3 players

total roster size = 16 players. start 1qb/1rb/3wr-te/1flex rb-te-wr/1k/1def

obviously, i can create a team with absurd depth at each position, but because i have no players worth keeping, i won't have any of the most premium players unless i trade for them.

the LJ and peyton owners are trade happy; i could probably trade for 1 or both of then while sacrificing some of my depth. how much, i don't know. but the question is: would you rather have a bunch of depth or some studs and less depth?

it seems to me that depth will be more valuable to me, as the ability to withstand injuries, busts and bye weeks may be bettter than having LJ and lesser margin for error.

i've mocked it several ways with DD and it all seems to come out about the same. (assuming LJ costs me about 3 players)

what say ye?
