Oh are my hopes high now that the bye is over. If you've got ADP you've got to start him every week. He's going to be an elite back the rest of the way. Forget all the RBBC stuff about Taylor! ADP is a star! Can't wait.
I don't understand a post like this except to think that you own him in one or more leagues and are hoping. He has looked good but give us some explanation why he'll be elite the rest of the year (not have a common rookie dropoff late in the season), why you are sure there won't be a RBBC situation or anything that invokes thought and discussion.Oh are my hopes high now that the bye is over. As a fellow ADP owner, I hope you're right. But,Oh are my hopes high now that the bye is over. If you've got ADP you've got to start him every week. He's going to be an elite back the rest of the way. Forget all the RBBC stuff about Taylor! ADP is a star! Can't wait.
Hey listen if you take a look at his number of carries so far, and then you examine Chester Taylor's number of carries as a Raven behind Jamal Lewis, and then you study Brad Childress's tendencies dating back to his years as an assistant coach...I got nothing.Hey, I can hope, can't I?I don't understand a post like this except to think that you own him in one or more leagues and are hoping. How can you not understand a post like this? Look at when he joined the boards and you'll understand. 2007 will be remembered as the year the Shark Pool died.jcole76 said:I don't understand a post like this except to think that you own him in one or more leagues and are hoping. According to the box score: The bears gave up 121 yards rushing on 22 carries and a rushing TD. That's 5.5 yards per carry there. They also gave up 321 yards passing. The net total was 439 yards of offense. Please explain to me how the Bears D has improved since the Detroit game. That's quite pathetic IMHO.Obviously GB's passing attack is light years ahead of Minnys, but Minnys rushing attack is light years ahead of GB's. The Bears D is good but not great this year. I fully expect Minny to have sucess running the ball on the Bears.Bears Homer and AD owner here, The Vikings are gonna get killed this weekend. The Bears D looks alot better since that Detroit game. Minny will be forced to pass.

I see this as a low scoring game with a few turnovers for both teams and a above average amount of rushing attempts for both sides.
The Bears got steamrolled on the ground by DeShawn Wynn and Vernand Morency, neither of whom are anywhere close to Peterson in terms of talent. And Green Bay's offensive line isn't as good at run blocking as Minnesota's. If you have Peterson, I think you start him against any defense. He's proven he can and will deliver. The only thing holding him back is Childress.alldayeverysunday ADES will carry his owners to a championship

This seems so logical and helpful.... just "150 and 1+TD" vs a top 10 rushing D in Chicago. That you need to provide and back up with logic/statistics/historicals.... something other than it's not biased.Starting him every game for the rest of the year. Chicago doesn't know what's coming.
I think it's been proven now that the only thing that can hold ADP back is his coaching staff and injuries.
ADP will have 150 total yards this week and at least one score-assuming they don't put him on the bench in the red zone again this week.
P.S. This is not a biased opinion.
Despite that, Peterson still delivered against the Packers in a rather big way. Childress' impact cannot be denied but what's impressive about Peterson is that even getting far fewer touches than he should have gotten against Green Bay he still put up strong numbers. Unless you're stacked at RB I don't think you sit this guy against any defense right now. In a year when so many RBs are bouncing all over the place in terms of production each week, shouldn't a guy who's yet to be held under 100 yards rushing in a game - both with and without Taylor in the lineup - be a fixture in your starting lineup if you own him? I sure think he should be.I beleive you have forgotten what bad coaching can do to your fantasy plans. You may want Peterson to carry the load. You may know that Taylor is a backup and nothing more, but you have not convinced the Minnesota coaching staff of this. Just when you think Peterson is on a roll, you are shut down via Chester Taylor.
Dude it's called Sarcasm. Figure it out.I've watched ADP play since his college debut. I've watched almost every single game-including one game in person. Obviously I'm biased...look at my board name for gods sake. This seems so logical and helpful.... just "150 and 1+TD" vs a top 10 rushing D in Chicago. Enjoy. All the guy has done so far is produce in a completely inept offense with a completely inept coaching staff.
He's done great things when people expect him to not do much. Week 4 is a great example:
1. Nobody gives him a chance since GB has this "amazing" rush defense that stuffed the likes of LT.
2. RBBC is back in full effect since CT is back. 60/40 split in carries for ADP/CT (12/8).
3. Out of 65 total snaps CT is on for 40 and ADP is on for 25 (think they shared a snap too).
4. CBS Sportsline labels him the "bust of the week".
5. Minny still has no passing game to speak of making ADP easier to bottle up.
6. If ADP is not playing every down then odds are good he's getting the ball when he enters the game (again making him easier to defend).
How does ADP respond? The guy has 12 carries for 112 yards and 1 catch for 6 yards while only playing 25 snaps in the whole game.
Sure it's a small data sample, but IMHO the only thing keeping him out of Top 3/5 is his .5 TD average. I am thinking Minny will eventually get their passing game going, the coaches will figure out they need to give ADP 20-25 touches per game, and ADP will start scoring TD's to back up his 137 YPG.
Lastly for you RBBC doubters:
In the first three games with CT out: 24 touches, 143 YPG, and 5.98 yards per touch
In game four with 60/40 RBBC: 13 touches, 112 YPG, and 9.08 yards per touch
I can't wait to see the forums on fire when he throws up his first 200/2 game.![]()
If ADP gets going, LJ gets going and MJD gets going, my team will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the year.Add in Palmer and the Ocho and I just may be unbeatable. CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!Cross your fingers and hope that Childress reviewed some game film over the bye week and realized that Peterson is the best player on his team and needs to be on the field if they want to win games.
Tunovers and special teams.... that's how the Bears win games...He probably thinks that cause they won.According to the box score: The bears gave up 121 yards rushing on 22 carries and a rushing TD. No, "OD" as a nickname for a running back is being reserved for Travis Henry. Can we refer to the Bears RB as Adrian "Off Day" Peterson for the sake of clarity?
We don't care about the Bears winning games. We care about FF value and in particular ADP since that's what this thread is all about.Unless the Bears DST gets three TD's before halftime I don't see this game being a blowout forcing Minny to abandon the run. Minny's D is pretty darn good last I checked.Tunovers and special teams.... that's how the Bears win games...He probably thinks that cause they won.According to the box score: The bears gave up 121 yards rushing on 22 carries and a rushing TD. I do not see how you added to this thread with telling us how much your team sucks right nowIf ADP gets going, LJ gets going and MJD gets going, my team will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the year.Add in Palmer and the Ocho and I just may be unbeatable. Historically, the Pool gets back to normal around February-July. It will do the same again this year or at least I hope so.FFChick32 said:pinda said:How can you not understand a post like this? Killed how? At this point, Minny's D is every bit as good as the Bears. If either team scores more than 14 points on O I'll be surprised.jbalicki10 said:Bears Homer and AD owner here, The Vikings are gonna get killed this weekend. Here's the problem with your argument...Chicago only needs to be up by 5 or six points for Childress to abandon the run (see the GB game for proof). Remember, Childress is a Reid disciple and if we've learned anything about either of these two coaches it's that every down (regardless of talent, circumstance, and opponent) is a PASSING down. In closing, please do not underestimate the stubborness of the average NFL coach in this regard.OU#1 said:Unless the Bears DST gets three TD's before halftime I don't see this game being a blowout forcing Minny to abandon the run.
